The son of a tailor, Cliff grew up in a small village near Montego Bay on the north coast of Jamaica.
Cliff particularly liked the New Orleans sound and was Sam Cooke, Fats Domino, and Little Richard among his early idols.
Since his starring role in the film The Harder They Come, Cliff's songs have been covered by a wide array of pop artists,
