I'm going to get right to it.
OK, this is the first section.
And what I'm going to do is I'm going to talk about some pedal tones,
pedal tones where you're working off of one note or several notes
and returning to varying notes, meaning like a very simple pedal tone
in A minor where you're just working [F] off
[D] of E and going down the [B] scale,
[F]
[Ab] or working off of several notes, [E] E and down.
[B] [Abm]
That kind [N] of stuff.
But before we start to do anything like that, first what we're going to do
is we're going to take this one lick, which is a Baroque style lick,
Bach, Vivaldi, and we're going to [Gb] treat this like a small,
scalular fragment.
And the [Ab] lick, you know, Baroque lick is just,
[N] the cool thing about this lick is you start on a down and you end on an up.
So you're alternate picking the whole time.
You don't have to think about it.
And those of you that saw Neoclassical Guitar 2, and I'm sure you have,
and if you haven't, then shut this off.
You know, go to your computer, buy two, and then, and then after it comes,
put this back on.
No, only kidding, but.
All right, so what I'm going to do is I'm going to take this lick
and I'm going to treat it like a small fragment
and I'm going to move it like all over the neck.
So this is a cool tool for working on your right hand technique
and it'll give you some cool ideas as far as, you know,
formulating solo ideas using these type of passages.
And, you know, great for endurance with the right hand as well.
So the first thing I'm going to do, and I'll do it without the drum machine
first and just slowly, is I'm going to take the lick down.
Take the lick [Db] just down.
And I'm just [Gb] going to play that moving up the neck.
I'm going to play that [Ab] fragment two times
and I'm just going to move it up the neck.
