It was kind of surreal coming back and doing the show.
It feels like the first time in a lot of ways because of the new [Ebm] venue.
Don't have the familiar surroundings.
But I knew what I was walking into because [C] last time I was here, Nick took us to see this place.
It looked like it had been bombed.
[B] Dirt [Bb] floor and everything.
It was horrible.
I remember thinking, okay, have fun with that.
But I'm also a guy that loves renovating [Gm] homes and I can see past all that stuff.
I totally got it and I was really excited for him.
I could tell how excited he was.
It really feels good to see it all come to fruition.
[G]
It feels super homey.
Like I had said earlier, I felt like I was back in my home church singing for our little
congregation back in Loretta.
That's a good feeling.
The acoustics are great.
When you sing, everything comes back to you.
That's always great for a singer to be able to feel [Em] comfortable and feel like they really
[C] have a good sense of what their pitch actually is instead [G] of completely relying on a little
wedge [D] in front of you.
That was good.
[Em] The ones who [C] deserve it should
[G] be saved.
So they [Am] [Ab] won't be.

[Abm] [Dbm]
[Bb] [B] [Eb] [Abm]

Someone's gonna hold your hand.

Touch you in some unknown way [Abm] that finally does the trick.
[Gb] [Abm]
Pull you in a fairy tale where you were meant to be.
[E]
Someone, [Eb] someone [Abm] won't be [Ebm] mean.
[B] [Eb] [Abm]
Someone's out there praying for the day that you walk in and happy [E] ever after [Abm]
finally begin.
[Gb] [Abm]
Someone who'll stop at nothing to give you all you need.
[E]
Someone, [Abm] someone won't be mean.
[Db] That's okay.
[B] [Dbm]
I never [Bm] [Dbm] really loved you [Abm] anyway.
[E] [Abm]
At least not unconditionally.
[Eb] [E] Like subjects [Gb] love their wives [Abm] and future [Ebm] queens.
If

[Dbm] [B] [Eb] [Abm]
[Ab] [Ebm] [Abm]
I thought I was good for you.

[E] Reach a little higher [Abm] and pull you back to earth.
[Bbm] But [Ab] the [Abm] man you're really looking for, the one in all your dreams.
[E]
[Abm] Someone, [Eb] someone won't be [Abm] mean.
[Bbm] [F] That's [Db] okay.

Not enough to meet me half [Eb] the way.
[Ab] [Eb] All [E] of the something [Ebm] you could [Abm] only [Dbm] take.
