[C] [D] Fantastic.
[Am] So, hello [N] everyone.
In today's lesson I thought I'd teach you
Herb by Johnny Cash.
Originally done by Nine Inch Nails.
Yeah, a class tune.
Not too many chords and not too difficult to play.
So, I'll crack on with it, alright?
It starts off on an [A] A minor.
[Am]
That is the intro.
And then it goes [C] to a C.
And to [D] a D.
[A] Back to A minor.
[Am]
[C] [D] [Am]
[C]
[D] [Am]
A minor.
[G] Cool, now that's the
So that's all the verses and stuff.
I think he plays it nine times or something like that.
And on the last one he plays
just a C.
[D] D.
[B] And then when it's into the chorus it's a G.
So you [G] get
[F#m] Altogether it would be [C] C.
[D] [G]
[Am]
[E] What this is,
this [F] is
So all the chorus is just
[G]
[Am] A minor.
[F] [C]
C.
So, go through that one more time.
[G] G.
[Am] A minor.
[F]
F.
[C]
And then it's [Am] back into the
[C] [D]
[Am]
Right, [F] well, I hope that's been [E] some help.
I'll do a close up on the right hand
and show you all the right hand techniques.
And [Em] I'll see you in
And I'll see you then.
[N]
Sand everyone, welcome to the right hand close up.
Now what he does is he
plucks the first two notes of each chord
and then the rest of the chord, so it [A] would be like this.
[Am]
[D]
[A] [Am] And for that [N] I use my thumb
and my first finger.
So, all together [Am] it would be A minor.
[C] C.
[D]
G.
[A] [Am] A minor.
Now when he goes into [A] the choruses
he would go [C] from the C
[D] to the D [F#] and then on to the G.
And it would be basically
all down strokes for [D] these ones.
[Am]
[C]
[D#] Now I mean it would be all down strokes
apart from that last one, so you would get
[G] It would be D.
[Am]
A minor.
[F] F.
[C] C.
Fantastic.
Right, back to the [C#m] normal position.
[G] We found everyone.
I hope that was [N] some good help.
Again, any requests or comments
just give me an email.
Again, I'm sorry it's taken me so long
to do some more lessons.
I'm just so busy looking after this little nightmare.
But yeah,
take care everyone.
Cheers.
