_ _ This song is our wedding song and a lot of people wonder if I wrote this song
for our wedding and I really wish [D] that I did but I was probably too excited to
write a song and so a few years later when I was less excited I [Fm] am no _ we we
wrote this [F] song kind of in the middle of our marriage and it's really just again
from [B] a lot of scripture and just kind of our desire [N] for our marriage out of what
God has shown [Ab] us he wants for our [F] marriage and so you have some thoughts
on it to you [C] yeah just a couple of things [Bb] one I think our [Fm] ministry is
called the word in worship and one of the ways that as we've just continued [Bb] in
our marriage together [D] _ we've just seen [C] coming from broken families [Bb] that one of
the most beautiful ways to worship [Fm] God with our lives is to honor the Lord in
our marriage and so much of this song is about [C] that and just based on his word
[Bbm] and it's something that we [F] are [C] by no means perfect at and we're everyday
working [Fm] at it but we love this song because the the heart of it [C] is God we
want your love Christ's love [F] to be on display through us and [C] we get to sing
the song for a lot of weddings which we [Fm] love I know as a bride when we were
getting married I never knew what songs we wanted to pick but we knew that
scripture and [G] God's Word was gonna be really important for our wedding [B] and so
it's been really sweet to be able to share this song that I'll share the song
for a lot of couples at their [Fm] weddings after they read some of the main
scriptures that [G] are usually [C] read at weddings to then kind of cap that off
hearing it in song as [F] they're getting ready to make this huge commitment [C] this
