[G#m] [A#m]
[F] [G#] [A#m] [G#]
[Fm]
[F] [G#] [Gm] [F]
[N]
It's the time of the season when love runs high.
In this time, give it to me baby.
And let me try with [B] pleasured hands to take you in the sun to promised lands.
Show you [F#] everyone [A] it's the time of the [B] season for [C#] love and high.
Feeling like [E] the heart of heaven somewhere but I can't decide.
So I sit up in my lawn chair and go for a ride.
Little kids on their bikes pass by but I'm miles beyond.
In my mind I'm gone.
Trying to hash out which mic is on as [B] I mash out on hearts [F#] of bone.
I'm acting blind, forgot what I just [E] said.
Nothing to consequence is what I just did.
Brain all busted, tell myself that shit can't be trusted.
Handful of checks should've sent them but I'm stuck in a rut with some too tight denim.
Hotter [F] than hell, hand me the minute while I revert to these.
Zip Mac on phone, Jerry's.
I am very pathetic but I really don't care.
There I said it.
Lost in days, trapped in a cage with my thoughts on the page.
None of my socks quite match.
Luckily I don't mind, slide back.
Plus I got my dung sign, turn out my dome to the sun.
Show me what's your [C#] name?
Who's your daddy?
Is he rich [F] like me?
Has [C#] it taken any time [A] to show you [C#] what you need to [E] live?
Tell it to me slowly.
Tell you why I really want to know.
Oh, it's [A] the time of the season [F#] for [C#] loving.
It's the time of [N] the season.
It's the time of the season.
Zayn, Zayn, Zayn, Zayn.
What's your name?
Who's your daddy?
Is [B] he rich like [F] me?
Has it [A] taken, has it taken.
So I picked [Em] the time of the season to cover as [C] a kid.
I [D] was like super obsessed with the [Em] zombies.
And I think the [G] first song I ever heard was She's Not There.
[Em] And something about it, just like the weird [G] organs, super old school,
really drew me to that.
And [C] I just got really into sort of British [G] rock from that time.
And so yeah, just thinking about a cover.
[E] I love that song.
And it's got [Bm] a nice bass line that sort of has [E] sample [G] ability.
[Bm] In terms of kind of making the song my own,
it's [G] about finding a couple of elements within the beat or the song
that can be used to form the backbone for something [E] that [Bm] evokes the original
[C] but [G] is its own [Bm] entity.
Once I found [Am] a clip from the bass line [E] and the little vocal sample
is [Bm] actually just me [E] [G] singing a lyric that I [E] chopped up.
So using that and then trying to figure out a way to incorporate a rap [Bm] element
[Em] into the song because it's a good [Am] tempo for that.
[E] And I kept it at the original tempo of the song.
So it's close to the original-ish.
[G] Any time, any time, I'll show [Em] you what you need to live.
[E] Tell it to me slowly, tell you why.
I really want to know, oh, is [A] this time of the season [F#] for [C#] loving?
