[A#m]
[D#m] So we were out on Outcry [B] and I had a dream one night about it raining [F#] in that old church.
[A#m] And we had walked into, you were [D#m] in the dream, and we had walked into this old church.
[B] It was like ornate and gorgeous and very [F#] intricate and lots of details.
So I could [A#m] tell, I could tell in the dream it [C#] was an old church because [D#m] we just don't
make churches like that very [B] much anymore, you know.
And so there were [F#] pews and it was raining inside this church and it [A#m] was raining on these
people [C#] and [D#m] on the floor was like two to three inches [B] of water, like moving water, [F#] like as
if you were standing on the shore of an ocean and water is [C#] coming up, [D#m] just kind of like
washing up on your feet.
It was like [B] that in the church but it was pure and clean [F#] water.
It wasn't murky or dirty, which in an [A#m] old church you would think it [C#] probably would be
because the [D#m] floors might be dirty or whatever, but [B] it was clean and pure.
[F#] And so I remember just waking [C#] up and thinking, what [F#] was that?
That felt very significant.
And later that day Martin Smith was talking on tour and sharing and talking about dreams
and how does all shared dreams that are in our hearts.
[D#m] I shared this dream that I had that night before because I just felt like it was so
significant and in [B] the corporate setting with everybody, we all felt [B] like just the presence
of God [D#m] came in the room and I remember feeling [B] like I realized what it was [F#] and it was God
just [A#m] revealing and reminding us what His dream is [D#m] for His church.
Because He says in His word He [B] wants to come back for a pure and spotless bride.
[F#] And I just want to read it.
It's in [C#] Ephesians.
[F#] I remember reading this and just thinking, oh my goodness, this is beautiful.
So [C#] Ephesians 5, 25, where it says, husbands, love your wives, which is very important,
which you do.
[D#m] But it says, just as Christ also loved the church and gave [B] Himself for her, that He might
sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water [F#] by the word, that He might present
her to Himself a glorious church, [C#] not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that
she should be holy [D#m] without blemish.
And I just was like reminded of the scripture by [B] having that dream.
And I just reminded that that is the prayer and [D#m] the heart of our Father, that He [B] wants
to come back for a pure and spotless bride.
And so [F#] as worship leaders and as songwriters, let's [C#] write songs that are helping us declare
that over [D#m] ourselves and pray that into our churches and pray [B] that over ourselves.
That God purify [F#] us, let us have clean hands and a pure heart.
[C#] So I just wanted to write [D#] from that.
So out of that dream, we started [B] writing, we wrote Let Your Glory Fall with Brooke and [F#] Scotty.
We wrote [C#] Fall Afresh with some of our church writers, with [D#m] Henry and Sarah.
And [B] they're just prayers for [F#] heaven to come and for us to have clean hands and [C#] pure hearts
and for the glory of God to come [D#m] and be an invitation [B] for the Lord to come and do what
He wants to do in our [F#] hearts and in our churches.
So it's just [C#] beautiful prayers.
I remember when we wrote Let Your Glory Fall and [D#m] you came in with this dream, we were writing
with Brooke and [B] Scotty.
You came in with this [F#] dream.
And remember they told us, they [C#] said, Oh my gosh, I've had this idea for [D#m] this song for
like seven years.
[B] And she said, I've tried to sit on a ride it several times, [F#] it never felt right.
And she said, I felt like [C#] before you even got here today that God told me that today
was [F#] the day for that song.
And she already had the Oh, let it rain, Oh, let it rain [B] part.
And so it just all came together.
I remember it was just like this really cool moment of, Oh my goodness, this is definitely
what we're supposed to write [C#] today.
And yeah, it all came together.
And I love that [A#m] because we're being the [D#m] church and we're just coming together and just being
God's kids and just saying, what's your heart for us?
[B] And we ask him, he'll tell us what his heart is.
