Jam Along & Learn...
One song that always kind of intrigued me was Kashmir.
rhythm and that feel come from?
originated from playing around on a tuning that I've been using quite a bit.
And [D] it's called, they call it dadgad.
similar to a sitar tuning actually.
I've been playing around [Am] on this quite a lot.
was this song that I had called Swan Song, believe it or not.
parts, intricate guitar parts.

One song that always kind of intrigued me was Kashmir.
Where did that come from?
Where did that rhythm and that feel come from?
Well, it _ _ originated from playing around on a tuning that I've been using quite a bit.
And _ [D] it's called, they call it dadgad.
_ _ And it's pretty similar to a sitar tuning actually.
But _ I've been playing around [Am] on this quite a lot.
And [C] it just so happened that there was this song that I had called Swan Song, believe it or not.
And it was all these parts, intricate guitar parts.
And right at the very [Dm] end of it, I had this [G] thing which went [D] like this.
[Dm] _ [D] _ [Am] _
[G] _ [Bb] _ [Dm] _ _ [Bb] _ [D] _
_ And then the [N] tape ends.
And I thought, we were doing some rehearsals.
Well, we were making an album actually with Led Zeppelin.
And John Bonham was there.
And the others, I don't know where they were.
They weren't actually at the house.
It's at Hedley Grange.
And I said, I've got this riff.
So now I turned it around, starting with the first bit first.
And he lays on the rhythm on it.
So [D] it sort of goes like this.
Wow.

It's circling around.
And then [Dm] _ this sort of _ [D] cascade that goes over the top.
And it hits its [Dm] atonal point.
It's cool.
The way it cycles around is [D] really brilliant.
Yeah.
But it's really, [E] that's one of those real hypnotic [Bb] riffs.
Yeah.
Cool.
[B] And with the drums, so [Gm] [G] menacing.
Yeah, that's right.
