[E] [F#]
[B] I've been away and [G#m] hesitating,
[E] lost in the beautiful sight.
A [C#] metronome will help you.
I [E] can't stress enough, rhythm [A] and timing is the [Bm] [F#] never [G#] neglect.
The timing, keeping solid time and rhythm.
[E]
[F#] Things I've left it all behind except my pride.
Leave me nowhere else to [B] run and hide.
[F#] [B] I've been away.

What I'll do, I'll [N] practice stuff.
I'll get it to where it's like, okay, this is where we normally would play.
Say it's a tune from 120, it's where it's normally played, 120 beats.
What I'll do is I'll practice it around 120 to 125 beats.
And then I'll [C#m] just turn it, I'll keep playing until I get ridiculously [A] past it.
I'll be at 140 or something.
[E] So, if I'm able to play at that speed, at 140, [B] play the exact same thing as [N] what I'm going to play at 120,
then you're increasing your [F#] speed, you're increasing the clarity of your playing.
It's going to have the separation at [F#] whatever speed.
I've left it all behind except my pride.
Leave me nowhere else to run [E] and hide.
I've [B] been away.
