Ken Tamplin - Stuck In The Middle With You - Gerry Rafferty - Cover chords
Start Jamming...
Hey guys, welcome back again to Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy, where the proof really is in
the singing.
I decided to do an old Jerry Rafferty piece.
This song is called Stuck
in the Middle with You, and the band was called Stealer's Wheel back in the day.
We'll
do it first.
I love the velvety tone to his voice.
We'll talk about it after.
I got
to play all the bass parts and guitar parts and stuff, like I always do for my stuff,
so it was a lot of fun.
Anyway, Stealer's Wheel, Stuck in the Middle with You, let's rock!
[Bm] [G]
[A]
I'm so [G] scared in case I fall off my chair And I'm [D] wondering how I'll get down the
stairs Clowns to the left of me, [C] jokers to the right
[D] Here I am, stuck in the middle with you Yes, I'm stuck in the middle with you
And I'm wondering what it is I should do It's so [G] hard to keep the smile from my face
[D] Losing control, yeah, I'm all over the place [A]
Clowns to the left of me, [C] jokers to the right
[D] Here I am, stuck in the middle with you [G] Well, you started out with nothing
And you're proud that you're a self-made [D] man [G] And your friends, they all come crawling
Slap you on the back and [D] say, please, please
Trying to make some sense of it all But I can see it makes no sense at all
[G] Is it cool to go to sleep on the floor?
Cause [D] I don't think that I can take any more
[A]
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the [D] right Here I am, stuck in the middle with you
[D]
[G]
[D]
[A]
[C] [D]
Well, you [G] started out with nothing And you're proud that you're a self-made man
And your friends, they all come crawling Slap you on the back and say, please, [C]
please
[D]
Well, I don't know why I came here tonight I got the feeling that something ain't right
I'm so [G]
scared in case I fall off my chair And [D] I'm wondering how I'll get down the stairs
[A]
Clowns to the left of me, [C] jokers to the right Here I [D] am, stuck in the middle with you
Yes, I'm stuck in the middle with you Stuck in the middle with you
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you
Alright.
Like I said, first of all, if you like what you heard, please like and subscribe to my channel.
[Ab] That would be super awesome, that way I could [N] get you more videos.
If you want to know how to sing like this, I have a singing course called How to Sing Better Than Anyone Else
and I walk you through this stuff step by step.
I also have a singers forum that have now almost 10,000 people in there that exchange these kinds of ideas with me
and 8 other moderators that negotiate how to sing well with like-minded singers like yourself.

With that said, what I love about this is we talk a lot about range and about belting
and about tone and all this stuff, whatever.
This, he has just this cool velvet voice, you know,
Well I don't know why I came here tonight I got the feeling that something ain't right
I'm so scared in case I fall on my chair
And I'm wondering how I'll get down the stairs
Clouds to the left of me, jokers to the right
Here I am stuck in the middle with you
Just this really cool velvety tone.
He's not going
He's not killing it, it's like
Stuck in the middle with you
You know, there's not a light thing, just velvety tone.
You guys would probably remember him from a song called Baker Street, you know
Hiding away on Baker Street
And da da da da da da da da
Then I'll settle down in a quiet little town
And forget about everything
You know, wah wah da ba da wah da ba
You guys remember that song?
That really super popular radio hit.
Still is.
Anyway, but the tone and his approach to singing
and selling the story and selling the lyric of the story
[E] is so great because he's not trying to prove calisthenics with his voice.
What he's doing is he's pouring his heart out through his voice
and with a great tone and just great sensitivity
and all the lyrics are just very poignant, very in your face
and you can really identify that with it.
So anyway, guys if you like what you heard again, please like and subscribe
and we have more coming your way.

Until next time, peace.
