_ [C] _ _ _ Hello, _ [G]
I'm Kenny Blues [Gm] Boss Wayne.
_ _ [G] _ _
_ [B] It goes way back.
I've been playing [D] this jump in blues [G] and different types of [D] _ genres of music going back to the early 60s.

[C] My father told me, _ [G] _ son, you want to play the blues?
_ Do it like Duke Ellington, Count Basie.
[C] _ _ [A] _ And [G] I've always had a heart for that type of music. _
_ Yeah. _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [B] Wow.

You know, when [E] people come to my concert, [D] I get sort of three [G] critiques of my show.
One being a little [Gm] taste of Ray Charles, a little taste of Bass Domino, and then [D] a little taste of Louis Jordan.
I'm [Gm] _ _ _
[G] _ sorry, man.
I'm _ _
[Gm] sorry, _ [G] man.
You know, the first few years of my life, I [E] was living [G#] in New Orleans.
_ And I think that was kind of ingrained in me in some kind of way.
I don't know how, but _ _ _ that New Orleans, [C#] of course, you know when the [D] saints come, Martins, it really is a gospel song.
So _ that kind of, I like to end my shows with that kind of thing.
And of course, New Orleans is also known to have that audience participation where you got the band going out _ to [E] _ the audience _ and involving [N] them.
And I think that's a good way to _ _ get [Cm] people involved.
They all know [C] the song.
It's been around for many, many, many years.
And it sort [E] of, it caps the night.
[C] People are [G#] rejoicing, I guess instead of saying hallelujah, you [C] know, they're saying when the saints come marching in, everybody gets up and _ _ they're in a good mood, [G] positive mood.

_ My new album _ that just came out has all the elements that of my influences.
It's got the Ray Charles, [G] _ You Don't Know Me [G#] _ [G] in there. _
[F#] _ [A] It definitely has a lot of [C] boogie woogie junk.
[D] Boogie woogie is more like the [G] fast domino.
_ _ _ [Am] They have the [Em] Louis Jordan jump swing.
[Am] So all my [G] influences [F#] actually [F] are [E] concentrated in the new album.

[D] The song Chow Chow Baby, we had just done three _
[E] encores.
I said, [G] you know, _ I just told Chow Chow and they [Am] kept saying, no, no.

[D] I agree with one [Am] of the [E] _ _
reviewers when they [Gm] were reviewing me, I think it might have [E] been Chicago, when they say [G] that Entertainer [D] has _ _ the look, [Em] the [Am] voice, the [Gm] style.
_ That's kind of thing I [Am] like to present.
When I [B] come on stage, I like [E] to look really well. _ _ _
[C] _ _ _ [G#] That gives an [F] image of respect for the audience.
I like to do that. _
_ [Gm] And then just play my heart out and _ just make everyone have a good time.
I think that's the thing.
I just put out a lot of energy.
I mean, I'm 72 years old, [D] so _ everyone [Gm] would be expecting me to slow down some.
Now [G] here I am picking up.
So [Gm] _ I'm going to pick up as long as I can go at this speed.
I'm happy.
I say I'm blessed. _ _ _ _
