[D] I don't know when to hold on,
[G] when [D] [G]
[D] to walk away,
when to [A] run,
[D] you got to [G] go [D] forward.
[G] When you're stuck in [D] a train,
you'll be [G] fine without [D] the crowd,
[A] when you [D] need a drink.
How'd you like that?
[N]
I have to tell you something,
there's a song that you did
that I wanted to do in this group of songs
that was interesting,
I don't know whether you know this,
but I was actually this
[E] Mama Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys,
they actually submitted that song to me
I think before you did it.
[N] I didn't know that,
but they actually submitted the gambler to me,
did you know that?
[E] Mamas don't let your babies
grow up to [A] be cowboys,
[B] don't let them get guitar strikes,
let them be doctors and [E] lawyers and surgeons,
Mamas don't let your babies
grow up to [A] be cowboys,
cause [B] they're never at home
and they're always alone,
even with someone [E] there.
[B] Cause they're never at home
and they're always alone,
even with someone [E] there.
[N]
I want to do a song that Kenny wrote,
you know the one I'm talking about.
Pretty easy, I only wrote one,
so it's pretty easy to figure out.
But that one is the one I want to do.
It's really one of my favorite songs
and I'd like for you to tell the folks the story
of how you wrote Music Man.
Well it's really,
I wrote this I guess 15 years ago
and I wrote the song literally in 20 minutes,
it was something that
I was going through a lot of personal problems,
the first edition had just broken up
and when I wrote this song,
the last verse in it says
that you try to stay young,
but the songs you've sung
so many people have all begun to come back on you.
And when I wrote that,
something really I think happened inside
because I realized what was wrong with my life
is that I was trying to be something
that I could never be again,
which was young.
And it made it much easier for me,
I cut my hair off,
I cut my glasses off
and got rid of my earring in my ear
and turned gray immediately.
[Bb] I'm sorry I asked.
So how long [Eb] did you turn it in your bar?
That was a [Bb] good one, Kenny.
I'm kidding, I like it.
Let me sing the song.
Sing your song sweet music man
I won't be there to hold [Eb] your hand like I used to
[Bb] And I'm through with you
[F] You're a hell of a singer and a powerful man
You surround yourself with people
who [Bb] demand so little of you
[Cm]
[Bb] [Eb] Nobody [F] sings a love song [Bb] quite like you [Cm] do
[Bb] [Eb] Nobody [F] else can make me [Bb] sing along
[Cm]
[Bb] [Eb] Nobody [F] else can make me [Bb] feel
That [F] things are [Gm] right when I [Gb] know they're [Bb] wrong
Nobody [F] sings a love song [Bb] quite like you do
Sing your song sweet music man
[F] I [Eb] believe in you
[Bb] [N]
I bet I wrote the story behind the song
exactly where you were when you [Gm] wrote this song.
Oh, hello.
[D]
Oh, roll it again.
I just can't wait to get on [Gb] the road again
Like I love [Em] making music when I'm free
[G] I can't wait [A] to get on [D] the road again
On [G] the road again
Like a band of gypsies we go [D] down the highway
[G] We'll be best friends
And just let the world keep coming [D] our way
[A] In our way
[D] Oh, roll it again.
I just can't wait to get on the [Gb] road again
Like I love [Em] making music when I'm free
[G] And I can't wait to [A] get [D] on the road again
I'm a [Bb] born and raised in England, sir.
A lot of fun [Gm] songs.
You want to know why I wrote this one?
Nope.
She [Bb] knows how to pick an empty can [Cm] of cannabis
[Bb] She knows how [Eb] to pick the [F] whole world [Bb] around
[Eb] [Bb] Here I am
Right in my heart I'm [Bb] feeling sorry
Had a little party [F] just two [Bb] doors down
[N] I know what it is.
Now you're just doing like four little lines with my song.
I don't think it's fair to you.
Can you get all of Willie's?
Okay, we'll do more.
Okay.
[Bb] That would make me feel a little better.
Four doors down, we'll let the world know
I'm [Cm] a born and raised in England, sir.
A lot of fun [Gm] songs.
You want to know why I wrote this one?
Here [Bb] I am
Right in my heart [Eb] I'm feeling [Bb] sorry
Had a little party just two doors down
[G] I [D] know [G] what it is.
Now you're just doing like four little lines with my song.
[Em] I don't want your heart to be [G] any excuses
Oh yeah, it's just [C] like that thing that you felt in your life
[G] We got a real love, [Em] not an infatuation
[G] Real love, [Em] our hearts [C] celebrating
You [D] know we love [G] you too
Got a real love, [Em] not a vacation
[G] Real love, [Em] you're my destination
[C] Baby, you and me, we [G] got everything we need
We got a real love
[Em] [G] We got a real love
[Em]
[G] We got a real [C] love
[G]
[G] when [D] [G]
[D] to walk away,
when to [A] run,
[D] you got to [G] go [D] forward.
[G] When you're stuck in [D] a train,
