[Bm] Now we're rolling to [D] Robertson [E] contributing writer to keyboard magazine at 2018 now I'm gonna tell us about the new
[Dm] Yes
All [A] right, so this is the Hammond SK X.
It's the
[D] New update to the SK line, [A] which is the stage keyboard [C] line for Hammond
Meant to be a lightweight all-in-one all-purpose keyboard
So the biggest difference between this and the SK 2 is we now have two sets of drawbars
Whereas the SK 2 only had [G] one
For both manuals.
So we got upper drawbars, lower drawbars and pedal drawbars, which is very [A] nice
So everything [C#] could be [D] done on the fly no more button pressing to get different drawbars to affect different manuals
Also, it's got more multi [G] timbrality
The SK 2 you can only do one non organ voice at a [Dm] time on this you can do [D] two
You can assign say like a piano to the [A] top manual
Strings on the bottom or you can put the strings on the top manual as well and layer them together
You have a [E] knob here to balance those
You [Dm]
also have a knob to control the overall organ volume because one of the problems on the SK 2 was getting the right
Balance between the non organ voices and the organ voices, right?
This solves that
Uses the same library as the SK series, although [A] it sounds to my ears.
[E] I haven't got confirmation
[A]
Much
[E] more playable
[Cm] Sound better [F] higher quality [G] more DSP the whole thing
So it's really easy [A] to do your splits and layers.
Just turn on the upper layer
[Gm] [G]
And there's your piano sound you can turn the organ off [C] right here
[F] [A]
[F]
[C]
[E] With all that you can still have the organ on [Fm] underneath so like one thing I [C] like to do
[Em] Get an electric piano sound and the organ [C] sound together
[G]
[D] [C]
[Fm]
[Am] Yeah
But based on based on [G] here you can actually put two two [A] different non organ [E] sounds and split them across the keyboard if you want
[A] as a whole level of
[C] Gig ability to it that you know, they want this to be [D] the keyboard you can bring to the gig and do whatever you need
I think it's $29.95. Is it shipping yet?
[A] Thank [Bm] you so much
