11 years old.
age.
I [F] would probably say, I really [Eb] liked, this [Bb] is incredibly difficult, you should know that
have [Gb] a deficient sense of time.
have trouble [Db] recalling [F] various moments on the [G] arc of time, so it's difficult [Eb] for
11.

[Eb] When you were 11 years old, who were your favorite bands?
_ 11 years old.
Around that age.
Around [B] 11 years old. _ _
I [F] would probably say, _ _ _ I really [Eb] liked, _ _ _ this [Bb] is incredibly difficult, _ you should know that
I have _ [Gb] _ a deficient sense of time.
I have kind of a sense of [Bb] temporal displacement.
I have trouble [Db] recalling [F] various moments on the [G] arc of time, so it's difficult [Eb] for
me to remember [Bbm] exactly what would be 11.
I would [Db] probably say I was really into [F] Poison.
_ _ _ _ _ _ Our dad introduced [G] us to your _ music.
_ [Gb] What music did your dad introduce you to?
My [Eb] dad introduced me to [F] Muddy Waters.
He _ [G] _ introduced me [Gb] to John Lee Hooker, Nina [G] Simone, and he _ _ _ [Em] also _ _ _ _ _
[D] really, really liked [Bb] Gloria Estefan. _
_ _ _ What [Gm] was the first song you ever wrote about [N] a girl?
Did she know you wrote it _ [Gb] about her and did she like it? _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[Em] _ The first song I ever wrote? _ _ _
I'm trying to think [G] back to the high school days because I was writing.
Did I write a song about a girl in high school?
_ [Em] _ _ _ _ There was a brief mention of supermodel Naomi Campbell in one of my [A] songs [Gm] and _ [Em] she did not know.
[C] _ _ I'm [N] pretty sure she doesn't know _ that I wrote it.
I [F] mentioned her in soft high [G] school.
I'm almost. _ _ _
Where was the first concert you played [Db] with Jimmy in your [Bb] band and what do you remember about it?
I [Cm] do remember this.
Jimmy hired me as a guitar player for a Jimmy Sutton show.
He had a [B] show _ as Jimmy Sutton [Ab] and it was in [F] Seattle, Washington _ quite a few years ago now.
_ He hired me on guitar, Carl Sonny Leyland, a fabulous British _ _ pianist, _ and [Bb] Bobby Trimble
who's a great drummer and a great friend of ours.
_ _ We played a show at the Shake the Shack Festival in Seattle, Washington. _
_ _ _ Have you ever forgotten the words of one of your songs during a concert?
Almost every [Db] single, _ _ [Gb] almost, let's just go ahead and say every single time.
_ [Bb] _ _ _ _ _ _
What is the [G] best and worst part about touring?
_ _ [Bb] The best part about touring, these are excellent questions by the way.
_ _ These are probably the best questions I've ever been asked.
The best part about touring is _ _ performing _ and _ also I would throw in van hijinks.
_ Van hijinks, _ _ _ _ we'll get on one thing and drive that into the ground and [F] then we'll get out
of [G] the van because the van is very insular. _ _
We'll get to [Bb] doing something in the van and then _ we'll take that out of the van and people
will react very strangely because they don't know what's going on.
You'll see us do this a lot _ _ _ and it gets to the point where we'll be walking down the street
[F] going for gelato [G] or something and we're all _ [Bb] trying to perfect that snap.
That was _ _ pretty good [G] but it looks pretty silly when we're always going like this.
So that's fun.
I like doing that stuff.
Worst part about [Bb] touring is _ missing my two [F] little girls and my [E] wife and being away [Bb] from home
because I love being at home.
_ I love feeding the dog and sitting on the couch.
I love that stuff. _ _ _ _
What sport in the Olympics would you like to compete [G] in?
_ _ _ _ I am _ _ _ probably the worst athlete that ever did.
_ I did play baseball for a very short amount of time in high school [Gm] but I was there only
because I [G] made a complete nine player baseball team.
_ [Bb] So they had to hire me.
But I love _ _ _ soccer _ but they [Gm] wouldn't let me do soccer because I can [G] barely run around the block. _
Maybe they'd let me be a ball boy. _ _ _
_ _ _ _ Who is your favorite Spice Girl?
_ _ My favorite Spice Girl is Scary Spice. _ _ _
Do you want to know [Bb] why?
Yeah. _ _ _
I always thought it was really cool that she would wear those camouflage shorts.
_ _ _ And then I saw her years later on Dancing with the [Bb] Stars and I really thought she [G] was great. _ _
[Bb] She's a little crazy and I like that. _ _
Who is your [G] favorite contestant? _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ I don't know.
[F] One of them.
