[N] King Crimson, Greg Lake, Robert Fripp, Pete Sinfield.
First album, In the Court of the
Crimson King.
Great, very spooky, spacey [C#] song near the end of the album.
The album really
ended of course with In [G#m] the Court of the Crimson King, which is another one we could think
about doing.
But I'm thinking about doing some more lessons on this kind of progressive
rock stuff.
I loved this album when it came out.
And [C#] this tune is a great [C] example [E] of [Em] some
kind of random arpeggio picking.
You can really do [D] it in almost any order.
It's not important
that you get the notes in exactly any one order.
You could pick out the [C#] melody a little
bit like I was doing there, just sort of noodling with it in the [Em] improvisatory arena, I guess.
But it's again, spooky melody, strange lyrics, [C#m]
and [E] a great little exercise for your right
[Gm] hand.
So this is the type of song that I'm thinking about putting a lesson together for
over at Totally Guitars.
And if you'd like to see some more of this kind of stuff, some
things from, who knows, Camel, Renaissance, Greg Lake.
We have a lot of Greg Lake tunes
up there [A] already, [C] [Gm] but I'll save those for later.
[G#] But this King Crimson one from, they
are our very first album, is one that might be in [C#] the running.
So if you'd like to see
[D] that or
[C]
[B] [N] maybe even that one, who knows.
All you have to do is come visit us at totallyguitars.com
and check out the recommend a lesson section.
Hit that button and put in, if you want to
see [G] Epitaph or if you want to see anything else possibly from later Greg Lake stuff,
from Carcass, there were a couple of cool things on that.
Or in the Court of the Crimson
King, any songs you'd like to see that you think might make good lessons are the kind
of things we're looking for.
And what we do is we [G#] look at what people are recommending
and what other people are voting on and decide, you know what, that would make a really good
lesson, let's work it out.
So some of these songs I haven't yet worked out, but they're
on my, on the [G] drawing board as far as something that I might want to do.
So again, if you'd
like to hear a, or see and have video for a lesson on this King Crimson tune or any
of their other stuff [G#] that's playable by acoustic guitars, I would love to consider them.
So
keep those, the requests and the comments and the votes coming.
