[A] Welcome back.
You see this?
Well, it's the trajectory of Coe [Em] Wetzel's ascent to the top of the music scene here in this part [D] of the world.
[A] Music fans are really drawn to Coe's blend of Texas country done with a rock and roll attitude.
[D] Here's a highlight from the 2018 Backroads Music Fest at Rocker [E] B Ranch in Grayford, Texas.
It's Coe Wetzel doing Austin.
[Gbm] So Austin [D] is a song I wrote [E] while I was living in Austin.
We'd been down there for [A] probably six or seven months.
One of my good buddies had an internship down there and he had a one-bedroom apartment.
And he was like, hey man, come down here, live with me, it's rent-free, just kind of get your foot in the door in Austin.
And this was kind of around [E] the time we had just released Noise [D] Complaint.
So we were all, I mean, me and [Am] my drummer Dre, we were broke as hell.
We were like, no, screw it, we're going [E] down to Austin.
And we moved into this one-bedroom [D] apartment with one of our buddies.
And there wasn't [A] a whole lot of space to get off and just go and write and have alone time.
So I locked myself in the bathroom one night and wrote this song.
And I come out the next day and showed it to them.
And they're like, man, this could be a really cool song to put out.
So we did and it's done really well for [D] us.
