Hi everyone, it's Kristen here and I am here with the wonderful Laura Story and we're excited to
share with you a brand new song called I Know That My Redeemer Lives.
It was begun by our good
friend Matt Merker and he gathered a pretty hefty team around him to try and get the song to the
finish line.
It's inspired by the beautiful words in Job 19 where it says, I know that my Redeemer
lives and that in the end he will stand in the earth and after my skin has been destroyed yet
in my flesh I will see God.
I myself will see him with my own eyes.
I am not another.
How my heart
yearns within me.
So we gathered the ideas and that the passion [G#m] of that in this new [N] song.
Laura,
talk to us a little bit about how you wrote it.
Yes, well in addition to the two of us, Matt Merker
and Matt Hoppa and Jordan Coughlin, all of us, both the lyric but also just the
how great those guys are with melody.
But one of the neat things is with all of us being worship
leaders trying to think of that song that we're all looking for around this season.
I think about,
you know, as a worship leader that's planning our Easter service, there's so many songs about
the cross, so many songs about God's grace and wonderful songs.
But looking for that
energetic proclamation that my Redeemer lives, that Sunday morning Easter Sunday song,
that was kind of in our heart as we were writing and I really feel like this will be a great
resource in that respect.
Yeah, and we took this truth of Christ's resurrection and tried to apply
it in different parts of life.
The reality of it for my life today, not just for my salvation but
walking through life knowing that we have a reigning risen Savior and looking to the future
when he will raise us to be with him forever.
Yes, so if the chorus is that proclamation of
my Redeemer lives, every single verse kind of lays out why that matters, why that matters to me today.
Yeah, do you want to [E] do a little bit of it?
I'll try the chorus.

[D] Thank you to the worship team for teaching this Easter [F] and also getting your choirs [N] involved in it as well to declare
this incredible truth that we hold on to not just at Easter but the whole year long.
So thank you
Matt Merker for bringing this idea.
Absolutely.
Thank you Laura for your patience.
This took a long
time to finish, right?
Well it was, but like any work that you really care about and you want it to be
an offering to the Lord that really shows labor and shows that commitment.
So it really was a
sweet time working on the song.
And such a joy to get to sing it with you.
We got to go in the studio
together and record this.
This was our first duet.
It was our first duet!
So it was wonderful.
So we
hope you enjoy it and you'll find all the details, links below this and resources to find the song,
