Alexis and I, we've been road dogs since I was 15
and she was 16.
Honestly, gone more than we were home, just by accident.
We didn't really realize we were professional musicians
until about three years in.
And we'd spent like, you know, 150 dates on the road.
Like, wait, we're kind of acting like professionals,
except we were very much not professionals.
It's been, I guess, the last year maybe
that we started doing this video series online,
which has been a really exciting thing for our band.
And been drawing a lot of people into the fold,
which I think is really inspiring for the internet,
because the internet can kind of be this,
I feel like cesspool of emotion at times,
where it's sort of terrifying,
all the trolls and the anonymity.
But we happen to have a really nice little Garden of Eden
on the web of people that come together
from all different walks of life and all across the world
that will connect on blues and rock and roll.
And, you know, we'll check out our videos
and make friends with each other.
And it's really, really powerful.
So we released a video.
One of the first videos that we released
was a cover of a Sun House song, Preachin' Blues,
which to this day is one of my all-time favorite songs.
I think it's just one of the snarkiest,
most relevant songs, lyrically, I've ever heard.
So we made a video and we released it,
and it got a lot of love online.
It got a lot of shares, a lot of likes.
And it got shared so many times
that it actually wound up on a woman
called Nita Seeger's Facebook page.
And we didn't know Nita,
but she happens to be married to someone called Bob,
Bob Seeger.
And so she turned around and she showed him the video,
and he dug it.
And so he turned around to our agents the next day
and asked us to go out on the road with him last year
for about, you know, just a handful of shows.
And it was such a magical experience
on the one condition that we played this song
every single night.
And he would stay on the side of the stage
until we did just that,
which was very flattery and also very nerve-wracking.
But we'll do this one for Bob and for y'all and for Sun.
