The album was recorded [C] in Surrey Hills in Sydney [Bm] in a studio called Big [G] Jesus Burger.
We spent a week in the big drum [C] room where the drums [Bm] were tracked and some of [C] the bass.
And then we spent the rest of it in the small playroom where everything was, [C] guitars and vocals were tracked.
[B] Recording the album in the end was actually a surprisingly [G] kind of individual [F#] [C] task for everyone
because obviously when you're [G] tracking you're not all playing in the same room together,
you're kind of doing each part separately, [Em] one before the other.
It's interesting and [D#] it's also the way you get to [B] understand your [D#m] own music way better
is hearing it [B] like 10 hours a day, all day.
[B] I know it's a really [D#m] interesting process.
[E] As this was our first proper recording experience, [B] I had no idea what to [D#m] expect.
Obviously [E] there was a certain album I was hoping to come out with.
[D#m] [B] This is definitely different to it but definitely better.
[E] When we were recording it, we [B] definitely [F#m]
believed in what we were doing and the sound we were going for.
So [G] really the only thing I hope for when [A] people listen to it is to [D] know that we were playing [F#m] music
that felt [Bm] authentic to us and real to us.
[A] And [G] that's all that really [D] mattered at that stage.
If [F#m] we know that we did that during the [G] recording process, [Am] I think we can be pretty happy.
