Hey everybody, thanks for watching Cater Keys.
So today I wanted to show you how you can take four chords and play a bunch of different songs.
So I'm going to use five songs in this example, but it's really great to know if you can learn
these four chords because you can apply it to so many different songs.
So we're going to do it in the key of C.
So this first chord is going to be a C chord.
So you're going to hit a C, an E, and a G note.
And then with your left hand, you're going to hit a C bass.
And then you'll take the same position and you'll slide it down.
[Am] This is an A minor chord.
So it's your A, C, and [A] E with an A bass.
The next [G] chord slided down is a G chord.
And that is a G, B, D with a G bass.
[F] And the next one is one below that.
That's an F chord.
So it's F, A, C with an F bass.
[C] So those are the four chords.
C, [Am] A minor, [F] G, and F.
Now these songs, they [C] don't necessarily go in that order.
[Am] Sometimes they bounce around.
But if you can get these four chords, [F] it'll help you [G] play a bunch of different [C] songs.
So the first song that we're going to play is called Waymaker.
And it goes like this.
You are [F] here, moving in [C] a mist.
[G] I worship you.
[Am] I worship you.
You [F] are here, working [C] in this place.
I [G] worship you.
I [Am] worship you.
[F] You are waymaker, miracle [C] worker, promise keeper, light in the [G] darkness.
My God, that is [Am] who you are.
[F] You are waymaker, miracle [C] worker, promise keeper, light in the [G] darkness.
My God, that is [Am] who you are.
[C] So that's the verse and a chorus of that song.
But you can get the idea.
It's those four chords that allow you to play that song.
The next song is going to be Living Hope by Phil Wickham.
And it goes like this.
How great the chasm that [G] lay between us.
How high [F] the mountain [Am] I could [G] not climb.
In [C] desperation, I turned [G] to heaven and spoke [F] your name [G] into [C] the night.
Then through [F] the darkness, your [C] loving kindness tore through [Am] the shadow of [G] my soul.
The [C] work is finished.
The [G] end is written.
[F] Jesus Christ, [G] my [C] living hope.
[F] Hallelujah.
[C] [G] Praise the one who [Am] set me free.
[F] Hallelujah.
[C] [G] Death has lost its [Am] grip on me.
[F] You have broken [C] every chain.
[G] There's salvation [Am] in your name.
[F] Jesus Christ, [G] my living [C] hope.
So that's Living Hope.
The next song is 10,000 Reasons.
It goes like this.
Bless [F] the Lord, O [C] my soul.
[G] O [Am] my soul.
[F] Worship his [C] holy [G] name.
Sing [F] like never [Am] before.
[F] O my [Am]
soul.
[F] I'll worship your [G] holy [C] name.
The [F] sun [C] comes up.
It's [G] a new day [Am] dawning.
[F] It's time [C] to sing your [G] song again.
[Am]
[F] Whatever may [C] pass and [G] whatever lies [Am]
before me.
[F] Let me [C] be singing when [G] the evening [C] comes.
Bless [F] the Lord, [C] O my soul.
[G]
O [Am] my soul.
[F] Worship [C] his holy [G] name.
[F] Sing like never [Am] before.
O my soul.
[F] I'll worship [G] your [C] holy name.
Then the next song is called Forever by Carrie Jobe.
It goes like this.
The moon and [G] stars, they wept.
The morning [Am] sun was dead.
The savior [F] of the world was [C] fallen.
His body [G] on the cross.
His blood [Am] poured out for us.
The weight of [F] every curse upon [C] him.
The ground began [G] to shake.
The stone was rolled [Am] away.
His perfect [F] love cannot be overcome.
[C] Now death, where [G] is your sting?
Our resurrected [Am] king has rendered [F] you defeated.
[C] Forever he [G] is glorified.
[Am] Forever he [F] is lifted high.
[C] Forever he [G] is risen.
He is [Am] alive.
He is [F] alive.
[C] And then the last one I'm going to do is called King of My Heart.
It goes like this.
Let the king of my heart be [F] the mountain [C] where I run.
[Am] The fountain I [G] drink from.
[F] Oh, he is my [C] song.
Let the king of my heart be [F] the shadow where [C] I hide.
[Am] The ransom for [G] my life.
[F] Oh, he is [C] my song.
You [Am] are good.
[G] Good.
[F] [C] You [Am] are good.
[G] Good.
[F] Good.
[C]
You [Am] are good.
[G] You're good.
[F] [C]
You [Am] are good.
[G] Good.
[F] [C] So it's a really good progression to know.
These four chords because not just these five songs, but if you look through it, you can find so many songs that just use those four chords.
So that opens you up to a whole playlist of songs that you can play and you can practice on.
So anyways, I hope that helped.
Thanks so much for watching, and [N] have a great day.
