What's up guys Matt here with Acoustic Selection.
Hope you're all doing well.
Just got back from New York the country boy and me
I don't know if I'm totally feeling that I feel like I walked a [G] thousand miles
Just see a lot of big buildings, but I met some good people up there.
[E] So New York's a great place
I'm not knocking the New Yorkers with this video
I thought I would teach how to play the easy way to play a B chord and a B minor
It's like lately I get more [G] and more notes about how do you play a B?
How do you play a B minor?
Do you have any suggestions that kind of thing?
If you watch many of my videos [Em] most of the songs I teach have
Two sets of chords either my first [G] four easy chords, which is G C E minor D
[Em]
[D] [G]
[Em] [D] [G]
[C] [Em] So [D] [G]
that's just G C E minor D now if you want to raise that up or lower [E] to whatever you play it
you play E A C sharp minor and B
Which I call the track chords.
So all my videos have two sets of chords for the most part
You have the track chords, which is E A
C sharp minor and B or play this way
C sharp minor B A
That's going up and down the track
So let's first go over if you play it that way
How to play a B chord.
This is the easiest way
I know to play a B chord is you play this open called open voicing of chords
so you'd play take your ring finger and pinky finger and
What you would do is
Play the fourth fret two middle strings
Right there and then you take your first finger and play the fifth string second fret and you're gonna strum all six
[B]
So middle fingers not [Em] playing anything.
So
The fourth and third string a second of the fourth fret and the fifth string of the second fret
[B] and
strum all six
[E]
That's gonna be your B chord.
So it's a
C sharp minor and B.
So you slide that up two frets C sharp minor B
[A] [C#m]
[B] That's gonna be a B it's gonna sound great with about any song you play so rather than having to learn the bar chords
And then all this if you do that, that's a B
And that's a B.
It's gonna [E] sound the same
[F#] Don't [B] worry about barring those you can [Em] leave those open and you're strumming all six.
There's your [E] B chord.
It's a called a power [C#m] chord
[E]
Then with a B minor [N] what you're gonna do
I showed this tip often my other videos is you're gonna play a minor which is the second string first fret and
With with your middle finger and ring finger
You're gonna play the fourth and third string
[Am] That's a minor and moved up two frets one two
[Bm] It's [E] gonna be your [Bm] B chord and I play the bottom four strings
so if I have a [Em] song [D]
a
[A]
[G] [N] Lot of times the songs I play they have a B [G] minor will be a G
[D] Hey, I [G] mean G [D] the
[Bm] B [A] minor a
[G] [D]
[A] [D]
[G] [D] [A]
[Bm] [G]
[D] [A]
[D]
[G]
So [Em] there's your B and B minor chord you're gonna do a
B or an open voicing way and a B minor [Am] just like an a [A] minor slid down two fret
[Bm] [A] Hope this helps you guys.
Have a great day and God bless you
[E]
I'm treating [C#m] my [E] shame
I'm [A] laying [E] down [B] the joy [E] of the [A] Lord

[Bm] [A] Hope this helps you guys.
Have a great day and God bless you
