Now when people do cover versions, I don't like them trying to sound like the singer who did the song originally, right?
I want to hear your own
You know your own personality your own input and I like it that she's not trying to like replicate Karen Carpenter's voice
Nobody can anyway because that voice is so unique but at the same time you could feel that she's like, um _
Representing that tone.
She had that tone
If I heard the song for example, and I'd never heard the Carpenters version.
I'll say to myself
Oh, she reminds me of Karen Carpenter.
She's just got that
You know, she's like singing in that same choir
you know in that same church of Karen Carpenters and
It was just beautiful to hear and I like how when they got to the second part of the song
The song became pacier it became brighter.
So it was like two [Ab] separate parts, which I'd like to know almost like this
Original version too and you [Gbm] know that the strings, you know the harp [E] it just sounds so beautiful this man
You know, those guys are amazing.
I've never had them [Eb] do like a bad song

It's always diamonds in my ears those horns
Fantastic and you can hear them here as well and not only the horns, you know the guitar the piano the drummer
Everyone was just like on point as usual on this song, you know, it just sounds so beautiful
And if Karen could hear this and her brother Richard who I probably think probably [Gb] hers
And you know, they will feel very proud.
Yeah, you guys have done a good job here.
You've kept the legacy going
It's a fantastic song a classic but I like very much quite a few people have covered it.

Was the Luther Vandross one that was just like heavenly
