Hi, this is Joe Chambers.
Welcome to Musicians Hall of Fame backstage of the Vault series.
Today's clip comes from our
2008 concert and ceremony.
We inducted the great crickets.
My dear friend J.I. Allison on drums,
Joby Mauldin on bass, great Sonny Curtis on guitar,
and there were three bands that I think are angelic vocally, and that was the Letterman, the Beach Boys, and of course the Everly Brothers.
And we were so lucky that Phil Everly came in and sang Let It Be Me.
Phil told me
that this would be his swan song, the last time he ever performed live.
Now,
I don't know if he did perform live again anywhere, but this is what he told me.
Hope you enjoy it.

Once again, Phil Everly with the crickets singing Let It Be Me.
