Lets Look At That Hevisaurus App chords
Start Jamming...
[E] [Em] Released a couple years ago, the Heavysaurus app is a game originally released for Android
and iOS devices, though as of lately the game is only available on Android since [D] support
for [C] 32-bit apps ended some time back on iOS, and the developer, Numea, clearly won't
be [D] updating the app to 64-bit any time soon.
[E] The app is a 3D runner type game with a small puzzle side game.
You play as one of the five
members of the band collecting golden notes on the way to the stage end, jumping [G] over
pits and avoiding enemies as you go.
The reward being is that you listen to Heavysaurus songs,
at the [Em] end of the stage.
[Bm] The most interesting thing about this app [Em] is that the music included is all in English,
even in Finland, and even the voices for the band members are all in English, with [C] entirely
different names apart from Mr.
Heavysaurus.
Hey!
I'm Mr.
[D] Heavysaurus!
[Gm] Let's go on an adventure together!
Ha!
My name is [G] Bassbammer!
You better shape up, cause we got some work to do!
Oh!
I'm so happy I get to [Eb] collect golden notes for you!
Riffmaster Crunch at your [Bb] service!
Time to lead the [F] way!
Dude!
It's Beatbuster here!
Let's get this game [G] going!
Millie Pilly doesn't name herself in the [Em] app, but the names line up with those used in the Swedish band.
The game itself has some love and care about [G] it, but honestly it's not good [D] at all.
[Em] The
models have all varied levels of quality.
Muffy Puffy looks great, but Heavy Heavysaurus
looks very small and chibi-like.
The level designs themselves are just about [D] passable.
The only one which has the most
detail in it is Riffy [C] Raffy's stage in the Catacombs, which is a prime example of the
multitude of [G] problems this game has.
[C] The game relies on you jumping to cover gaps.
The majority of the stages are fairly forgiving
with the physics engine, but the Catacomb level has one particular bit which is a lesson in frustration.
[Fm] This is because this level has some fairly long gaps, which requires a vault jump, [C] in
which case these gaps are at the absolute maximum distance you can jump, [Fm] meaning this
particular section is near impossible without perfect timing.
[Gm] I've found that you just about have to fall [Ab] off, then jump, then again [Gm] to make the gap,
any earlier or later, [Ab] and you'll just fall repeatedly.
Remember, this is supposed to
be for kids!
[Eb]
[G] Upon passing the stage, you get the bands performing a clip from the [Ab] song.
[E] You get Catacomb [C] Zombie,
[D]
[Am] [C] [D]
[G] [D] [E]
[C] [D] Catacomb Zombie,
[Am]
[C] [D] [Em] Catacomb Zombie,
[E]
[G] Jurassic Metal Heads,
[Eb]
[F] [C] [G] [Eb]
[F] [G] [Gm]
[F] [Eb] [C]
[G] [Bb] Lizard
[F] [C] [F] Disco,
[Bb] [C]
[Dm] [Bb] [C] [F] [Bb] [C]
[F] Lizard [Gb] Disco,
Boogaloo [E] Boogaloo,
Way down near the [B] volcano,
Gorilla [Bm] village [E] rumbling,
Amazing, great for [B] a walk and go,
The [D] neighbourhood is [G] thumping,
Planet Mars is going [D] lost,
A blue suit for the lot [E] of you,
The price is just too boogie down,
[Gb] To dance and jump and fall [B] around,
Hey ho, honk a bongo,
Hey ho, honk a bongo,
Oh yeah!
[Cm] And for the last stage, [G] you get Jurassic [Eb] Metal Heads, again.
[F] [G] Yep, for the five stages, they only have four songs.
This was either a [Eb] programming error, or they only [F] had four songs.
The first [G] time we've seen Jurassic Metal Heads, the animation ends a few [Gm] moments before the song does,
so I think another song was [F] supposed to be in this position.
[Eb] [C] Despite my best efforts, I've not been able to examine the files to get any [G] information out of them.
If another song exists in [F] those files, it's [Gm] far beyond my reach.
Overall, the game is okay, but it's honestly lacking in so many areas.
If this had a lot more polish put to it, it wouldn't be so bad.
[Eb] This cost me around £2 when I got it.
There is a free version, but it's only the first [F] level,
so if you really want to check it out, then you can still find it on the Google App Store.
[Em] As for other apps available, there was a Storybook one on the Apple App Store,
but thanks to the 64-bit [E] requirements that they imposed,
all the [Gb] apps need to be updated, and so [Em] this will probably never come back.
[E] With the German band [C] now arriving, I'm sure [Gm] that they'll push the app to them,
or at least [Em] make a new one, but I'll keep [Gbm] a lookout for [Em] this.
Anyways, until next time, [Am] this is Kraken, signing out.
