I've seen him do it in live shows.
He was here _ in Texas not too long ago and _ was doing a [D] live show with this lick, and
he did it, I think it was on Salty Dog Blues, if I'm not mistaken, in the D section.

And he pinches, [E] instead of playing just the [G] index finger on the second string, like this,
