Start Jamming...
I'm Perre Pires, Kim of LifeLover.
[Gm]
[G] This is Fix, I'm Bass from LifeLover.
I'm B, one [Ab] of the founders of LifeLover and I play guitar live.
And [Gb] I do some modified [Gm] vocals.
I'm Norn and I play the drums.
I'm [Am] H and I play the guitar.
[Gm] [Eb] Yeah, well, the founders of the band.
Us two.
The two of us.
[G] Simply, any morning you can expect.
Except that [Gb] it's about an apartment covered in blood.
[G] Us two.
[G] We formed the band back in 2005.
It was in June, if I remember.
We met up and [Gm]
[Bb] got very drunk [Eb] and
[G] cut ourselves and did all our [A] stupid things [G] and
We ended up playing music together and sat in a room.
And just [Bb] jammed together and we did this promo [Eb] 2005.
Just the [G] first LifeLover release.
This was never publicly released but
for us it's the first [Gm] release.
It sounds like a cool release.
[G] Yeah, cool release.
The tablet album.
What about your musical style?
How did you [Eb] come to the idea to do this weird kind of music?
Well, I don't know.
I [F] used to play in black metal bands [G] before.
Of course [A] people will say that [G] LifeLover is black metal.
But I don't think we really are.
[Eb] The inspiration I take [G] when I do the music is like
It [Bb] can come from [Gm] everything.
It's not music in general.
Well, [A] I've been
Everyday misery, drugs and stuff like that.
I just do music [G] and I don't think about what I do.
It just turns out the way it is.
That's what is LifeLover.
So it's nothing
There's no special recipe behind it.
[Eb] It's just what we feel and what we
We're just being ourselves.
[Gm] Yeah.
We're being ourselves [G] and we're honest about what we do.
[Eb] What about your style?
Your optical style?
[G] The mask with the make-up.
I actually chose to have this mask on me because
[Abm] I sweat a lot when we play live and [Gm] my make-up usually looked like this.
And it ran up my face after like two songs.
So I use this instead now.
It's easier and it won't fall off my face.
It's always been kind of a thing to be anonymous in this band.
Is it important for you to be [G] anonymous?
Yeah, I'd say it is in a certain sense.
It's kind of part of the expression.
But we don't really expose our personalities too much.
And let people focus on the music and the lyrics and the messages.
[Gm] How is the [G] tour so far?
Yeah, this tour [A] consists only of two [G] dates.
So this is the first evening and so far it's been going pretty well.
The trip was pretty smooth and this is [Gm] a good venue.
So far everything's been going nice.
We've all got high hopes for the gig and we think it's gonna be a good evening.
What's your audience about?
Are they true metalheads?
Are they made in France?
I think I can speak for pretty much all of us when we say that
we
don't really appeal to us as [G] persons.
They're mostly kind of
I don't know how to describe it really.
Do you want to talk?
For me, I [Ab] like everyone that shows up and wants [Gm] to see Liveflower.
I don't care how they look or anything.
[G] It would be nice if more than just metalheads showed up and [D] watched us.
Because we know we have those [Gm] fans.
So it would be pretty [G] nice.
We try to distance ourselves from the black metal scene a little bit.
But we will always have one [Gm] foot in the black metal scene, I think.
The thing is that our repertoire is
We have so many different influences from so many [G] other genres than black metal.
So of course we want our audience to reflect that as well.
If someone listens to really experimental pop music or whatever
or
trance music or whatever
they
just happen to like Liveflower.
So of course, welcome to our gigs.
We all listen to all sorts of different music.
Are [Gm] you proud of your success?
No, it wasn't
We didn't really have any goal at first.
We had no goal at all.
At first we thought about doing some limited demo tapes [Gm] and stuff.
It doesn't really matter
[G] as long as we can do what we do.
We're simply being ourselves.
As long as people appreciate that and keep being themselves
forever.
It's [Eb] a little bit of a [G] satiric aspect.
You're in the whole band because of a name.
A name that never hurts if people think for themselves.
People should think for themselves when they listen to us.
Of course our band name is [Gm] Liveflower.
But if you look into the music and the lyrics and everything
if
you have a brain you should probably understand what it's all about.
But how did you come to this name?
Was there a special reason for this?
Or did it just happen?
It happened, but I was called a Liveflower once by a guy I hate.
A gay person I hate.
So I thought it was convenient.
We simply thought, why not?
Why not?
Call us Liveflowers.
Call us anything you want.
People always wreck their name.
We're Liveflowers in our own sense.
In a personal sense.
It's all about definition, that's the only thing else.
Yeah, we love drugs.
We love drugs, you know.
I think this band has always
I'm a relatively new member, as you know.
I've only participated on the newest MCD.
But I think this band has always stood for paradoxes
between
different bipolar emotions like happiness and joy
and
everyday misery and melancholy
and
sometimes finding the joy in these things.
So it's always been a lot about different paradoxes in everyday life.
So it's definitely an aspect of [D] satirical dark irony and [G] dark humor.
I think [Gm] we destroy ourselves more with this [G] band than we build up ourselves.
Or it's like 50-50% in some way.
[N] But being out like this and touring and stuff
it's
pretty miserable sometimes.
[Ab] [G]
But before he joined the band he was a [A] pretty nice guy
and
now we have destroyed him in a couple [G] of months.
I'm just 18 years old and I was pretty clean before [Eb] I joined the band
but
now I'm completely [G] perverted.
What do your [A] parents say to your music, to your [G] image, to your style?
To this negativeness?
Well, my father hates what I do.
My father would never approve what I do.
He throws away anything.
Does it come to you or do you say, I don't [Gm] care?
Well, my mother supports [G] what I do.
She's an artist and she's helped several of my parents as well.
[Gm] My mother supports what I do when she's drunk.
[Dm] Otherwise [B] she doesn't approve it that much
but
most definitely more than my father.
[G]
So
Well, [A] I don't really care about it.
I do what I do.
[G] Yeah, but simply, as I mentioned before, we're just being ourselves.
[G] So finally, is there something you would like to say to your German fans?
We would appreciate if you were a little [Ab] bit wilder when we play
and
[Abm] not just stand there [G] and watch us.
Yeah, fuck that.
Fuck that shit.
Alright, okay.
So, thank you very much. Thank you.
And have fun today and good

_ People should think for themselves when they listen to us.
Of course our band name is [Gm] Liveflower.
But if you look into the music and the lyrics and everything_
_if
you have a brain you should _ probably understand what it's all about.
But how did you come to this name?
Was there a special reason for this?
Or did it just happen?
It happened, but I was called a Liveflower once by a guy I hate.
A gay person I hate.
So I _ thought it was convenient.
We simply thought, why not?
Why not?
_ _ Call us Liveflowers. _ _
_ Call us anything you want.
People always wreck their name. _
We're Liveflowers in our own sense.
In a personal sense.
It's all about definition, that's the only thing else.
Yeah, we love drugs.
We love drugs, you know.
I think this band has always_
I'm a relatively new member, as you know.
I've only participated on the newest MCD.
But I think this band has always stood for _ paradoxes_
_between
different bipolar emotions like happiness and joy_
_and
everyday misery and _ _ melancholy_
_and
sometimes finding the joy in these things.
So it's always been a lot about different paradoxes in everyday life.
So it's definitely an aspect of [D] satirical dark irony and [G] dark humor.
_ I think [Gm] _ _ we destroy ourselves more with this [G] band than we build up ourselves.
Or it's like 50-50% in some way.
[N] But _ being out like this and _ touring and stuff_
_ _it's
pretty miserable sometimes.
_ [Ab] _ _ [G] _
But before he joined the band he was a [A] pretty nice guy_
_and
now we have destroyed him in a couple [G] of months.
I'm just 18 years old and I was pretty clean before [Eb] I joined the band_
_but
now I'm completely [G] perverted.
She's an artist and she's _ helped several of my parents as well.
_ [Gm] My mother supports what I do when she's drunk.
_ [Dm] _ Otherwise [B] she doesn't approve it that much_
_but
_ most definitely more than my father.
[G] _
So_
_ Well, [A] I don't really care about it.
I do what I do.
[G] Yeah, but simply, as I mentioned before, we're just being ourselves.
_ [G] So finally, _ is there something you would like to say to your German fans?
We would appreciate if you were a little [Ab] bit wilder when we play_
_and
[Abm] not just stand there [G] and watch us.
Yeah, fuck that.
Fuck that shit.
Alright, okay.
_ So, thank you very much. Thank you.
And have fun today and good
