[D] [Am] [F]
[C] Music [A] runs strongly through [N] the Presley bloodlines, just like her famous father Elvis.
Lisa Marie is picking up the microphone and letting the music do the talking.
I strapped on my blue suede shoes, well I didn't really, I wore sneakers but somebody else drove them.
And I got up close and very personal with the gifted Lisa Marie Presley.
[Fm] For Lisa Marie Presley, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

[G#] [C#]
[G#] [F#] [E]
[C#m] Daughter of legendary performer Elvis, [F#] Lisa Marie Presley was just 8 when [E] her father died of [F] an apparent drug [F#] overdose.
[C] But his impact on her speaks volumes, even today.
[F] He was so incredible [F#] that on and off [C] stage that it wasn't like an act or anything.
There wasn't a machine [G] behind him making this anything.
[C] It was just he was who he was and that was [Bm] very [G#]
impactful to [C] observe.
I remember being with him all the way up until I had to go out into the audience and I remember just being in [F] awe.
When it comes to love, Lisa Marie falls very hard, very fast.
She said I do four different times [E] to four different men.
Back in 1994, she [C#] married the king of pop, [E] Michael Jackson, under a [F#] cloak of secrecy.
[B]
Until the music video, You're Not Alone, cemented their public love [G#m] for one another.
[E]
Two [F#] [B] years later, the union ended in divorce.
[D] Actor Nicholas Cage was also another high profile husband.
They were together for two years [Dm] but their [G] 2002 marriage [A] lasted less than four [D] months.
Through her turbulent relationships, it's her four children, Riley, Ben, Harper and Finley, who have weathered the storm.
How do you juggle everything?
Music, kids, family?
It's a lot.
It's a lot.
I mean, you know, I get emails, Mom, I need this, I need that.
I got one over here, one over there.
[G] Thankfully, like when they're all in one place, I'm really, really happy because it's not like running around juggling everything.
But it's [Bm] [D] good [G] chaos, I would [N] say.
Do you play a lot of music to the twins?
Always.
They love music.
They love music and they love acting.
So I think I'm going to have one little singer and one little actress, that's what I think right now, at the moment.
Daughter Riley has also stepped into show business, landing a role in the new Mad Max movie, Fury Road.
She's also [Dm] dating an [E] ugly now.
So she met him on the set, he's a slut man on Mad Max.
[N] So she's been doing this for a while, for years.
And I've watched her, she puts everything she has into these parts.
She's so impressive when she works.
While [E]
motherhood came [G#m] naturally, [F#] music didn't.
For the first three [A] decades of her life, Lisa avoided the recording studio because [E] of the comparisons to her father.
[F#] Luckily, fate intervened.
Her latest [C#m] record, Storm and Grace, features a mix of blues and country with a harder [F#] edge.
What's the [C#m] inspiration behind this new music?
It's very autobiographical.
So I would say it's just [F#] whatever I've witnessed, seen, gone through, [G#m] experienced and need to [C#m] purge.
Like my first two albums.
[G] Last time you were in town, you were hanging out with Russell [C] Crowe.
You guys [D] went on a bit [G] of a [C] night time, you [G] know, escapade of [C] partying.
Are you going to catch up with him again?
[G] I don't know.
That was so random.
I think that, I don't remember how it even [C] happened.
But I just remember I was so [G] [C] stupid [G] to challenge him.
How else will you be spending your time [C] here in Australia?
[G] You know, I think I only have a couple of days off.
I don't really have many days [C] off.
We had two days off when I arrived.
And we went to the zoo and the beach.
My daughter [D] ran me around all her favorite sort of [Bm] haunts [C] that she was going to because she [G] spent some time here.
And [A] post-production [G] for Mad Max.
[C#m] So, I mean, honestly, I'll be working most of [F#] the time.
46, Lisa [E] Marie Presley is still going [C#m] down the road less travelled and doing it all on her own terms.
[F#] [E] [C#m]
It's a great record and a great sound.
Just on the Russell Crowe thing, I said to LNP, I said, you want to watch out for Russell
because he has a tendency to jump up on [Gm] people's stages.
Oh yeah.
And jam.
She was like, I heard that.
That would be cool.
I'd like to see those two.
[Cm] He could really [A] go for it.
[C#] Great lad.
