I know it's [G] nothing great that I have done or anything I'll ever do

_ _ [G] He knew I'd never find a [C] great medical cure or win a [F] Nobel Prize _ _ _
[Bb] _ He saw that my righteousness is his filthy rags
[F] And he knew that I needed a Savior.
[Gm] That's why he died for me
[C] And I'm so glad that he has that kind of love for me
_ You know Mike said last year [F] was a great year for the pains.
Just like to tell you a little bit about it
[Bb] The last part of April last year.
They took my brother.
They put him in the hospital for a couple [Dm] days to run a few tests
[Gm] They says Alan prepare [C] to take a couple weeks off
[Cm] You think we're gonna find [G] pneumonia at the worst
_ _ [F] You know, they come in the very next day
And he brought three doctors with him and his wife
[Bb] And Alan set up he took notice because he knew something was [Gm] wrong
_ They said Alan what we found
_ [C] the furthest things from our mind
[Eb] But you have [F] cancer and where this cancer is it has wrapped itself around your lungs
It's wrapped yourself or itself around your [Gm] heart.
It's just slowly squeezing all the oxygen out of [C] you.
We [Cm] can't operate _
But we don't want to send you home [F] to die
_ We're gonna start chemo on you
But we want to tell you right now Alan _ _ _
[Bb] That you only have [F] a 5% chance of living.
[D] It's not too good
[Gm] _ You know, they gave him the first session of [Cm] chemo and they sent him home [D] three weeks later
They brought him back to do it all [F] over again _
And you know everywhere we went in those three weeks every church and every concert
_ every radio or TV program
We had the people call out Alan's name before the Lord asked for a [Cm] special touch on his behalf
He went back three weeks later.
They took a new chest x-ray before they [G] administered the chemotherapy
[F] _ And they put that thing up to the light _
This kind of scratch your heads and they left the room for a while
And here's my brother sitting [Gm] in the background all the time watching this one and what else can they [Eb] tell me?
What else is worse than what they've already told me, you know, they brought a [F] specialist into the room and he looked up there
_ _ [G] He said I don't know why you [Cm] people bothered me said I'm pretty busy [Eb] here
[F] He said a five-year-old could read that.
He says that's a clear perfectly normal 30
_ 31 year [Gm] old male perfectly healthy
The doctor said well look at [C] this other x-ray.
They showed that x-ray from three weeks before
[F]
There all that cancer was in his body all black _
The doctor said that man has no hope in [Bb] no future
[D] Those doctors kind of smiles as well.
[Gm] This is that man right there
That specialist that I don't know what [Cm] happened.
My brother spoke up and said I'll tell you what happened
[F] He says when you gave me no hope and you gave me no future and you wanted to tell me to go home and die
Said I took it to a higher power.
I took it to Jesus and he healed my body [Eb] completely _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[Bb] _ _ [G] _ _ _ _ _ _
[Cm] _ _ _ [F] You know, we serve a great big God and for us that was a miracle but for God it's nothing _
[Bb] He made us and he created this world
_ [F] Why would it be so hard for him to heal us?
_ _ [Bb] You know, a lot of people are afraid [Eb] to ask for a miracle
[Bb] But God is able and not only is he able [F] but he's willing
[Bb] And no matter what problems that we're going through he understands [F] us.
[Bb] I was reading in Hebrews one time
[F] And [Bb] it says for we have not a high [Eb] priest which cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmity
[Bb] But was in all points
Tempted like as we are and yet without sin _
No, Jesus [Gm] loves us and you know, [E] sometimes those [Bb] problems come and we [G] think well
Not even my husband can [Eb] understand or my mother or father
It's when you can take it to Jesus
[Bb] That's what we have as Christians that [F] the world doesn't have and that's Jesus within us to [Eb] share our burden
He [Bb] loves us and he wants to help us

He delights in helping his people and the blessing [Bb] don't be afraid to ask
