Please welcome Henry Jojo Ringo, the Gluck Lonely Boys! _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[Bm] _ [N] _ _ _ _ _ _
What did you guys take away from those really, really early years? _
Well, um, these shoes_
Don't ever stop!
_ Don't ever stop, even if you mess up!
Just keep playing.
Yeah, keep playing.
Even if somebody's getting shot, don't stop.
_ [F] _ [C] And it's happened before!
[B] And why do I get the_
When we [Gm] were younger with our dad, we were [F] playing country western music and everything.
And we [Bb] walked into a country western bar and people [A] looked at these three Mexican little boys walking in.
What's up with that?
And they're like, what's going on?
We break out with, you're [F] cheating, huh?
And their eyes get real [Bb] big!
And they're [Eb] like, I'm laughing! _ _ _
[G] They're looking at us again, man!
_ We knew at that moment, man, when things like that were happening, that music [Ab] knew no color.
Music [Ebm] knew no age.
[Fm] And we learned at a very young age.
So when we [Bb] write music, we try to target the human spirit, [N] not the color of your skin, not the age.
Or not an age or anything like that.
But he also taught us a lot about life.
And the music, [D] _ it's all intertwined.
So we [Gb] just take all those lessons and [Gb] we apply them to everyday life and everyday life.
_ [Ab] _ _ _ _ [F] _ _
[Bb] _ _ _ _ [Ebm] _ _ _ _
[Bb] _ _ [Eb] _ _ _ _ [B] _ _
_ [Gb] _ _ _ [C] _ [Bb] Did you guys pick your own names first?
[Ebm] No, we were forced into them.
[E] My name's Ringo.
_ _ _ _ You [Gm] did not have a choice.
_ I'm the youngest.
[G] _ Henry [B] was born [N] first.
Naturally, he gets to get the guitar! _
_ _ _ _ _ And then Jojo came around.
Okay, great, look what you're doing here!
I'm out of here!
_ I started playing guitar first, too, so we kind of all_
We play everything.
Jojo [G] plays drums, guitar.
Ringo plays a little guitar, [B] too.
It wasn't [Eb] something we were set on.
I just was a [Dbm] little bit better than them.
[G] Hi, [B] _ _ _
[E] _ _ _ [Ab] everybody.
Hey, but then he was a little bit better than [Eb] us at the bass.
[Bb] _
[N] I wanted to be the pistoleros.
I was the youngest. _ _ _
Me and Jojo were kind of weirdos.
I was like the rattlesnake.
_ _ I remember the song that our dad had wrote for us and I said it to my dad and I was the youngest.
I was there.
I heard you.
He loved me the most and he was like, whatever you say, [Eb] Ringo!
I'm just kidding, daddy!
This guy's the best at guitar.
My [G] dad loves him the most and I got a throat [Ab] problem. _
_ _ [G] I'm just kidding.
He liked the name, so [C] he was like_
He had the [Eb] final say.
It was like, okay, that's pretty good.
It [Ebm] stuck.
It just stuck.
Our dad was, you know, we grew [Ab] up playing with our dad and we loved playing with our dad,
[E] but we started [C] to develop _ [Eb] _ different kinds of musical talents with different influences that our dad had.
We kind of were passing him up a little bit.
[G] He said that, too.
He told us that [B] he kind of let the cage open and said the sky's the [Bbm] limit, Micos.
I'm right here with you.
[Eb] And then we fired him.
[Cm] No!
_ _ [G] We [Ab] didn't fire our dad.
He let us go.
I'll tell you, we [C] had the first gig without our dad when it was just [D] us three.
It was in Atlanta, [G] Georgia, a place called Jocks and Jills.
Wow, [N] look at you!
And _ we were playing and at the end of the song, we looked at each other like, who's going to talk now? _ _
_ _ [Eb] _ _ _ _ _ _
