Hey guys, welcome back to Raw Music TV.
As you're all probably aware Motley Crue have announced that they're going to be touring again in
2020.
This comes after a farewell tour [E] actually took place in 2014 [C] and the band signed a
secession of touring agreements saying they could legally not tour again
[D] under the name [F] Motley Crue.
A lot of fans are annoyed about this and it's very understandable [Bb] why
especially [F] considering what Nikki [Eb] Sixx said in
[N] 2014.
[Ab] Stay tuned.
[E] [Gb] [Ab]
So in [Dm] 2014 Motley Crue signed a legally binding contract called a secession of touring agreement saying that they were going to go on a [G] farewell tour of the same year and then after [Bb] which they would never be able to [G] tour again under the name of Motley Crue.
The reason I [Cm] used quotation marks [Gm] when I said that is
because [G] looking at the agreement itself or looking at an interview that Nikki Sixx took part in [Gm] with Rolling Stone
[G] it turns out the contract doesn't appear to be worth the paper it was written on.
Nikki Sixx actually [Dm] said to [C] Rolling Stone magazine, I [G] think is in 2014, I'll put a link in the [Cm] description so you can look at it yourself.
He said the only loophole in this agreement
[A] was that the band could tour again [C] if they all agreed [Eb] to do it.
Now to me [Am] that's not really a legally binding contract.
[Ab] Any band that wants to go on tour [G] all the members have to agree to do it.
That's kind of how [A] a band operates.
[Cm] So to me that first off says that that was just a big publicity stunt [A] and they had [G] really no intention of
not touring again or at least they didn't really [Gm] want to
legally put that in writing that they could never tour.
Now a lot of fans are annoyed [D] about this, rightly so.
[Gm] Many fans would have paid thousands [D] of dollars to go [G] and see Motley Crue on their farewell tour
including paying for hotels, maybe even flights and VIP meet-and-greet packages.
[C] If you're [G] paying thousands of dollars thinking you're never gonna see a band again and then a few years later
they turn around and say oh hey actually [Eb] yeah you can see us and pay [G] normal price for a ticket
then understandably [A] you're gonna be annoyed.
[G] I'm a massive Motley Crue fan.
I always have been so I'm not thrilled about what [Cm] they're doing
especially [C] considering what Nicky Sixx said in 2014 [Am] as well.
Now [G] again
I'm going to [Cm] show you the clip of this [Gm] of what he said [Am]
in an interview in [Cm] 2014 with Fuse
when [G] the whole of Motley Crue were being interviewed [A] about the farewell tour.
They were obviously asked why they [Cm] were doing it
their reasons [F] behind it and their thoughts about [Gm] it and Nicky Sixx
actually said a [Dm] lot of bands do this farewell tours and I [G] think it's just ripping off fans.
Here's the clip of him [Db] saying that.
[Gb] [Dm] We wanted to really go out on top.
[Gb] So many bands they do farewell tours or it's kind of a ripoff to the fans.
[G] So it's not really the fact that [C] they've signed this agreement which didn't [D] really mean anything and then they've [G] just gone back on their word
it's also complete hypocrisy from Nicky Sixx himself and as you can maybe tell from my hairstyle
I'm quite a big fan of Nicky [C] Sixx
So it's a bit disappointing that he's come out and said this so I get why fans are annoyed about this
They're [Cm] not the first band to do this.
Kiss did a farewell [Cm] tour in I believe
[A] 2000 they're [C] still touring [G] Ozzy Osbourne did it as [Gb] well.
I believe in 1992
[F] He did [Am] the No More Tours tour [C] and now he's just rescheduled No More [A] Tours tour 2
Which is gonna take [C] place next year
[G] So a lot of bands are doing this [Gm] and it does seem like just a reason to [A] cash in which is not [G] fair to fans
on any level
I understand bands want to go out on a high [Gm] and be remembered to be at you know
The height of their performance but to say that you're never gonna come back and then you [C] do just come back is a little bit
[Gm] Of a shitty thing to do.
I've not seen the contract myself
I can't find a copy of it anywhere
If anyone does have a [G] link to a copy
Please pop it in the description
So I'd love to actually read [C] it and see if there's any [Dm] of the legalities in there that mean [A] they can't
Tour again [Eb] or they're gonna face some sort of financial penalty [G] penalty
But I don't think that's gonna be the case and another issue as well is
Vince Neil [Cm] on the farewell tour if you go on [Gm] YouTube and have a look at [G] some videos
he's not really in great shape and his voice [Cm]
doesn't seem as
[C] Incredible as it was back [Am] in the 80s
So [Cm] a lot of people are [Gb] concerned that they're again gonna be [Am] paying a lot of money for a performance that [Cm] doesn't really warrant
Paying for that experience and
I've seen people on [D] social media already saying, [Bb] you know
I paid thousands of dollars or you know
I paid X amount of money [Fm] back in 2014 [Eb] to go and see you guys [G] and Vince Neil didn't sing
The words properly he was out of breath, etc
I understand, you know, the guy [Cm] hasn't had the easiest [Eb] of lives even though he's [G] a rock star.
He lost his [G] kid
He killed someone he went to prison
[D] So he's probably got his own [Gm] demons that he's facing but at the end of [G] the day
That's not the issue with the fans.
The fans are the ones [C] that are funding what Motley [D] Crue do
so it is their responsibility to make sure that the fans are getting the
experience they deserve for [Cm] the money that they're paying and
I've won them in two minds as to [Eb] whether to go and see Motley Crue or not on [Cm] this new reunion [C] tour
Because I don't want to [Eb] waste my money and watch [F] a band that can't [Eb] perform as they should be able [Cm] to perform
So [G] this is why fans are [C] angry and I really do I [Cm] really do get it
[Eb] If Vince Neil does [E] get back in shape and his voice is amazing [G] awesome
that still doesn't
Negate the fact that [Eb] Nikki Sixx literally said bands are ripping off their [Db] fans by [Gm] doing this
So he really needs to address these [Cm] comments that he made
He needs to issue some sort of statement to fans because it really isn't fair.
Like [G] I said, I'm a massive crew fan
I'm not trying to shit on them.
I'm stoked they're back if they [Gm] are gonna record new [G] music and
[G] Release a new record as long as Vince is [D] in great shape [G] the couple of singles they put out for the Dirt movie
I really enjoyed those.
So hopefully there is gonna be more material to come.
That's gonna be good [Gm] material
[G] but like I said
Saying literally like a few years [C] ago that bands are ripping [Eb] off fans by doing these farewell tours [C] and then coming [E] back
And then literally doing the same [Cm] thing yourself.
It's not [Eb] really a great thing
So [C] I hope they do make some sort of statement about it.
They probably won't
[G]
But we'll see what happens if you've got an opinion on this if you think it's a good thing or bad [Cm] thing that they're coming
Back do start a [F] discussion in the comments below.
I will say [Gm] any abusive or unconstructive [D] comments
I'm just gonna delete [Dm] because there's just no need for it start a decent conversation
Start a decent [G] debate and if you do disagree with me tell me it's cool, but be an adult about it
There's links in the description below to other content.

Hopefully [Ab] they do put on a great performance [Fm] and [E] do address the issues [Ab] that all of their fans have raised
They do owe their fans that [E] because they wouldn't be [Db] there without the fans, [Ab] so we'll see what [G] happens, but that's [Abm] all for today
Thanks for tuning in and see you next time

_ [Gb] _ _ [Dm] We wanted to really go out on top.
So [Cm] a lot of people are [Gb] concerned that they're again gonna be [Am] paying a lot of money for a performance that [Cm] doesn't really warrant _ _
_ [G]
But we'll see what happens if you've got an opinion on this if you think it's a good thing or bad [Cm] thing that they're coming
Back do start a [F] discussion in the comments below.
I will say [Gm] any abusive or unconstructive [D] comments
I'm just gonna delete [Dm] because there's just no need for it start a decent conversation
Start a decent [G] debate and if you do disagree with me tell me it's cool, but be an adult about it
There's links in the description below to other content.
We do [C] have a whole website
[Eb] RawmusicTV.com you can go and [G] check out there's tons of content on there
If you do like these videos subscribe consider supporting all the [E] usual shit and there's [G] loads of other stuff for you to check out
Hopefully [Ab] they do put on a great performance [Fm] and [E] do address the issues [Ab] that all of their fans have raised
They do owe their fans that [E] because they wouldn't be [Db] there without the fans, [Ab] so we'll see what [G] happens, but that's [Abm] all for today
Thanks for tuning in and see you next time
