Hey, so I got a couple of requests to teach you how to play that unreleased Mac Miller song.
I guess they're calling it once a day.
Starts on an F, and I don't know it note for note exactly,
but I'll give you an in-depth breakdown of each hand after I play it through real quick.
But it starts on an F and goes like this.
[Dm]
[A] [Bb] [Dm]
[A] [F] [Dm]
[Bb] [A] [Dm]
[Db] [F]
So those are the verses and then the, I guess the
chorus I guess, or the bridge, one of those.
[Gm]
[F] [Gm]
[F] [Gm]
[A] [D]
[Db] [F]
And back into the verse.
[D]
[A] [Bb] [F] [D]
[A]
[A] [Dm] [Db]
[F]
Alright, now I'll give you a close-up [B] of each hand.
So now I'm going to break down the right hand for that song.
I like to think of it, the verses, in three parts.
The first one starting on this [F] F.
Second one going [D] to this D and G shape here.
I [Dm] think he plays it more like that, but I think that does the trick.
[Ab] Then it's this shape.
[D]
So, [F]
[D] [A] [Gm]
and this is the second part of the chord progression.
It changes very slightly.
[F] [Dm]
He switches these to the order of those two notes, or chords.
So he'll [Bb] go,
[Db]
[F] instead of [Ab] going, [Bb]
he'll go.
[F] And then for the third part of that chord progression, he'll do the same thing and then drop it lower here like [F] so.
[Dm] [A] [Ab]
D minor.
[Db] Lock the F in and then [F] back to the start.
The left hand for the
[Bb] verses, I think he tends to play
[F]
almost matching chords, but kind of finding a different voicing for them.
I don't really know.
I didn't see in the video what his left hand was doing and
don't really have the time to figure it out.
So I just kind of follow it with the bass note
of the chord that's matching up top.
So when we're playing the F,
you know, I match it with the,
so it goes
[D] [Bb]
[F] [D] [Bb]
[A] [F] [Bb]
[A] [D] [Db]
[F] So if you get the top hand down, you can pretty much match the
bottom hand.
So that's not super tough.
[B] And now we'll move on [Fm] to the
[B] bridge or the chorus or whatever you want to call it.
[E] So for the chorus, he changes it up slightly.
He still uses some of the same chords.
So he'll start with [Gm] this.
I think it's a G sharp something, I think, but it's
and this is, you know,
everybody
[F] and he just bumps it to the F, I think.
[Gm]
[F] Then when he goes higher, he'll [Gm] do, and then you're gonna keep this shape and just shift it up a note
from the thumb, you know,
[A]
[Dm] and then he plays this kind of like a modified D minor and then
[Db]
[F]
and for the left hand of the
G, [B]
versus again, [G] I just match it.
So and [F]
[G] [A] [G]
[A] [D]
[Db] [F]
then that just repeats.
So yeah, it's pretty straightforward.
[Bb] You know, if you got any questions about it, feel free to comment and ask them.
I'll probably do an update video getting camera angles down and all that stuff.
But
[Gb] you know, I promised that this would be up this week.
So try to get something up for you.
And yeah, hope this helps you kind of get on the right track too.
And I hope you enjoy learning it.
[N]

I think it's a G sharp something, I think, but it's

versus again, [G] I just match it.
So and [F]
[G] [A] [G]
[A] [D]

then that just repeats.
So yeah, it's pretty straightforward.
