What's up my friends, it is C3P and you guessed it, I am reviewing another [F] microphone.
This time around it is the Akio [Am] AK70, which is a condenser [C] microphone that you can get
on Amazon for about $30.
Cool thing about this one is it comes with a bunch of other little extras, it's not just a microphone.
Of course it comes with a cable so you can just plug the mic directly into the 3 [F].5mm
recording jack on your computer so you don't need any other equipment, you can just plug
this right [Am] into the computer.
As I do with all of my microphone reviews, I'm going to record a little 20 second [F] song
with this [C] microphone that's acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, [A] vocals, and drums.
The recordings you're about to hear are unedited, it's just the raw recordings of this microphone,
in fact the voice that you [Em] are listening to right now, there's no [F] EQ, there's no compression
effects [Dm] applied, it's just the way that the microphone sounds as I talk into it.
To be fair to the microphone, when you talk a [D] little closer it has a bit of [C] a better bass
response, it just looks awkward with the camera so I'm [Em] standing, I'm sitting a little
bit further back, but it's a pretty good [F] sounding microphone, [Am] especially when you get a little bit closer.
Enough of the chit chat, let's play the song.

[Em] The Akio AK-70 [F#] is a good microphone [C] for the price.
I know I've said this with some of the other microphones that I've reviewed, but this one
I feel like it has a bit of a clear sound to it.
Instrument wise, it did pretty well.
I think it did pretty well on the [Am] acoustic guitar, the junky cheap electric guitar with
that junky cheap amplifier.
It even did okay with the bass guitar coming out of an amp that was not designed for the bass guitar.
Vocals are pretty crisp.
Drums, ideally you'd want seven microphones for the drums, so you can't really be too
harsh on a $30 microphone recording an entire drum set, but surprisingly it's got some pretty
balanced frequencies in there.
It's not too harsh on the cymbals.
It sounds pretty decent on the drums.
And the fact that it comes with a bunch of other stuff, not just the microphone, that's
a pretty darn good deal for $30.
Is it the microphone that I'm going to continue using moving forward?
No.
I have a much better blue baby bottle microphone for any personal recording that I do.
But not everyone can afford a $300 microphone.
I really can't either.
I had to save up for that one a bit.
But $30, if you're just trying to get into music [C] and you have a really small budget,
this is another one that I would give my recommendation [G] for that really cheap price of $30.
It's kind of a gateway microphone to get you used to recording and everything, and if you
kind of get a knack for it, go ahead and spend more money on something much better.
But you can't really go wrong with $30 here.
As [Am] always, link is in the description if you are interested in checking it out and buying it.
And that's it.
