Years and years ago when I was on Radio London on the pirate ship, Mark used to send me acetates of tunes which he'd cut
as in the sort of fledgling Tyrannosaurus Rex for me to play on the radio.
Unhappily a burglar took all of these, there's about three or four of them I think, and they were never issued on records and obviously
they've gone, some burglar somewhere has got them as far as I don't know.
And there's another one which I thought I'd lost which I found last week and I was going through a bunch of
things that were sort of stuffed away in the corner.
Sounds a bit like Mike Reed, but it is actually true all of it.
And what it was that you may remember, some of you, those of you into Mark's music, remember Hippie Gumbo
which he did as part of Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Well, there was an electric version of it as well which he did with John's Children and he gave us an acetate of this and
this is what I'm about to play you and I'm right, as I say, I rather suspect I may be wrong and if you know differently
well, please write and tell me because otherwise I should have made a fool of myself.
But I think that you probably will have not have heard this before, Hippie Gumbo, John's Children.

You fill my [Bm] brain

Definitely a [A#] collector's item that, that's John's Children and Hippie Gumbo, an acetate which I say Mark gave me right back in, I suppose, must have been what, 1968, I suppose, 67 perhaps even.
