He has been such a gift to our community, but we haven't really given him a chance yet to let you
into his personal life.
And so we wanted to do that today.
So why don't you find a seat and take
a look at this.
I grew up in Lexington, Kentucky, and home for me was school in the morning,
[G] playing basketball or wiffle ball in the [Eb] afternoon, and [Bb] church on the weekends.
My dad was an amazing singer, and my mom was [Gm] the church piano player.
Every time the doors were
[Eb] open at church, we were there and [F] we were the last ones to leave.
And when we got home,
[Bb] the piano fired back up.
So after college, I sang with a friend of mine who worked at Willow Creek
Church back in about, I'd say, 99 or 2000.
One fateful day while I was at Willow, I [Gm] was talking
to a friend of mine, and this girl walks by, this vision in a business suit, and I just kept
looking at her down the hallway and watching, hoping she would turn [Eb] around, and she [Bb] didn't.
And I turned back around to my friend, and she said, that's Lori Vick.
It's been 12 great years.
We've got two little girls, six and eight, and they are the joy of our lives.
The Hall family is [Gm] about loving on each other.
[Eb] We've moved quite a bit, [Gm] and because of that, home can't be a house.
It can't be a bunch of rooms.
[Bb]
I've lost my dad years ago.
[Cm] Just this past year, I lost my little brother.
[Gm] Most of the people [F] that I've grown up with and had a huge impact on my [C] life are pictures on [Bb] walls.
Sometimes, we catch a glimpse of our true home.
[Gm] For me, that's my family, [Eb] but that [Gm] deeper longing
is just a guidepost.
[Bb] It's a roadside point in this home.
When I get where I'm going, on the far side of [Eb] the sky, [F] first thing that I'm gonna do,
spread my [G] wings and fly.
[F] I'm gonna land beside [Bb] a lion and run my fingers through [Eb] his mane.
Or I might [Bb] find out what it's like to ride a drop of [F] rain.
[Eb] Yeah, when I get where I'm going, [Bb] there'll be only happy tears.
And [Gm] [F] I will shed the sins and struggles [Eb] I have carried all [Bb] these years.
And I'll leave my [Eb] heart wide open.
[Gm] I will love and have no fear.
Yeah, [F] when I get where I'm going, don't cry for me down [Bb] here.
[Eb] I'm [Bb] gonna walk with my granddaddy.
[C] He'll match me step [Eb] by step.
And I'll tell him [Bb] how I missed him every minute since he [F] left.
Oh, then I'll hug his neck.
[Eb] Yeah, when I get [Bb] where I'm going, [Eb] there'll be [Bb] only happy tears.
[F] And I will shed the sins and struggles I have carried all [Bb] these years.
And I'll leave my [Eb] heart wide open.
[Gm] I will love and have no fear.
[F] Yeah, when I get where I'm going, don't cry for [Eb] me down here.
[Bb] Yeah, so much [Db] pain and so much darkness in [Eb] this world we stumble through.
[Gb] All these questions I can't answer.
[Ab] There's so much work to do.
But when I get [Gm] where I'm going, [Bb] and [Dm] I see my [Eb] maker's face,
I'll stand forever in the light of his [F] amazing grace.
[Eb] Yeah, when I get where I'm going, [Bb] there'll be only happy tears.
And [F] I will shed the sins and struggles [Eb] I have carried [Bb] all these years.
[F] And I'll leave my [Eb]
heart wide open.
[Gm] I will love and have no fear.
Yeah, [F] when I get where I'm going, don't cry for me [Eb] down here. [Bb] I confess.

Lord, I come.
I confess.
[Gm] Thou in here I [Eb] find.
[Bb] Without you, I fall apart.

Oh, I need [F] you.
[Bb] Every hour I need [F] you.
[Bb] My one [Eb]
defense, [Bb] my [G] righteousness.
[F] Oh God, how I need [Bb] you.
But in your grace is more.
Where [Gm] grace is found is [Eb] where you are.
And [Bb] where you are, Lord, I am free.
Holiness [F] is [Bb] Christ in me.
Lord, I need you.
Oh, I need [F] you.
[Gm] [Bb] Every hour I need [G] you.
[Bb] My one [Eb]
defense, [Bb] my [Eb] righteousness.
[Bb] Oh God, [F] how I need [Bb] you.
Repeat my song for [Gm] I is to you.
[Eb] When temptation comes my way.
[Bb] And when I cannot [Gm] stand, I'll fall on you.
Oh, [Eb] Lord Jesus, you're my [Bb] hope and stay.
You need [Eb] you.
Oh, [Bb] I need [F] you.
[Gm] [Eb] Every hour [Bb] I [F] need you.
[Bb] My one [Eb]
defense, [Bb] my [Eb] righteousness.
[Bb] Oh God, how [F] I need [Bb] you.
Oh, you're my one [F] defense, my [C] righteousness.
Oh God, [F] how I [Bb] need you.
You are my one [Eb]
defense, [Bb] my [F] righteousness.
Oh [Bb] God, how [F] I need [Bb] you.
