I was introduced to Matt Berry when he [G] came down to here.
[G] This is the office of Aston Jazz Records [E] where we're based and it's in Bethnal Green.
[D]
Someone was hiring our office to use as a kind of a set for an internet film and Matt
was in [G] the film.
So I met him [D] and we discovered we had a shared love [G] for psychedelic British folk music, progressive
[A] folk from the late 60s, the kind of folk that [D] features in the film The Wicker Man.

We got talking and [D] Matt told me that he'd [A] made an album [G] and that he'd like me to have
a listen to it.
Now, [A] I didn't know Matt and I didn't know particularly know his comedy [G] work and [Em] [Am] I had
a listen and [G] it held its own.
So [A] I immediately signed into Aston Jazz and the album, which became Witch Hazel, was released
spring [Am] 18 months [G] ago.
It was probably two years ago now [Am] and it did remarkably well.
[D]
[A] [G]
[Am] We got loads and loads of great reviews.
We [D] sold loads and loads of copies and I realized [Am] that as well as doing, you know, writing [G] for
comedy and being [Am] an actor, [D] Matt also had [Am] an element to his career that should be, [G] should be furthered.
I thought that his [A] music really deserved [D] to be released professionally by a proper [A] record
label and so Aston Jazz [G] and Matt create this wonderful [Am] partnership.
Now, two years down the [G] line and yes, he's been busy and [D] we're running a little bit late
[Am] on the delivery schedules, [G] but the new album Kill the Wolf [Am] is finally in production.
It's at the [Bm] factory [E] and it builds on [D] the [A] sterling work [G] that Matt had achieved with Witch Hazel.
[Am] I think it's a bit more mature as a piece [Bm] of work and [Am] again, Matt plays all of the [G] instruments
with the exception of drums [Am] and he has a little bit of help from [D] Cecilia Fage, his co-musician.
[Am] I think it's a fantastic piece of work [G] and it will be out summer [A] 2013 and supported by a tour.
We're really excited.
I know that there's a lot of people at radio that have been waiting for it.
Stuart McHoney got in touch only last week [Am] to ask where it was and why he hadn't had it yet.
So, I'm [A] pretty pleased and I'm very confident.
I hope Matt's pleased.
We think the artwork's great and we're releasing it in a few different formats [Am] actually, which
is something that vinyl has become [A] very important in the music industry [Dm] over the last three
years from being the cassette [D] of music retail.
It's moved back to being the premium item.
So we're [Am] releasing Matt's album in a gatefold sleeve.
[Em] We're releasing a [Bm] colored vinyl version.
[G] [D]
[Am] Michael, Peter, [G] Mark and John
[Am] We spoke nearly right after [D]
you'd gone
[A] I said see [Am] for that feel it [G] here today
[Am] Like a bad dream that never [D] goes away
[Am] It's a clear bright and harsh [G] October sun
[Am] Lights me up
Kill The Wolf, Matt [G] Berry's [Bm] second professionally [Am] released album, is released on [G] Astor Jazz
Records in [Am] June 2013 and [Bm] Matt's backing it with [Am] quite an exciting tour.
His first tour for [G] 18 months.
So make sure you get out and [Am] see Matt Berry [Em] and the Mate Polizon 2 [D]
and buy yourself [E] a
copy of Kill The [Em] Wolf.
