Damn, okay, let's get into it, [Fm] man.
Guitar work, solid.
So what I loved about this,
and I was a little scared at first,
not because I thought it was gonna be bad or anything,
but I was scared when they started chill,
only because, again, I like their chill side,
but they do chunky so well, too.
So when they started chill, I was like,
okay, this maybe was gonna be just a pure chill track,
and they're gonna do it.
That's cool.
You know, [Ebm] it's still solid melodies, contagious, right?
Yeah, even with the guitar stuff.
And then I was like, as soon as they started the chunk,
I was like, yes!
Best of both worlds that they do.
I loved hearing that right away.
And the guitarist, fun, again, chunky.
It's, you know, shining point of this sleep token
is really not the riffs.
It's just, it's the overall atmosphere,
production, and feel,
and the guitarist really did a great job
adding to that, adding to that groove factor,
especially in this track.
Drums, dude,
and, actually, maybe MVP.
Maybe MVP drummer.
I think that vocalist deserves that MVP.
But drummer, dude, oh my damn groove machine!
Like, dude is doing so much.
He's having a good time, man.
Like, great job with the drums.
I love the drums.
Bass, blam, blam.
Vocals, man.
Dude's got a voice, man.
He's got a distinct one, he's got a unique one,
and he's got a damn hooky voice.
Yes, dude.
Great job on the melodies.
That chorus hook is beautiful.
That's why it made me so sad that the song just ended.
Like, I would have been so cool
to just hear that chorus, [N] like,
five more times.
Like, I'm cool with that.
It's a great chorus, and then mixing with that chunk.
But yeah, vocal-wise, great job.
During that kind of bridge breakdown,
I know that he went with the cleans.
I would have loved even maybe just some backing.
Backing just like almost soundscape-y screams,
just to oomph to that kind of higher level
of energy going on in that moment.
Because I feel like during that moment,
the instrumental [Ab] ramped up,
but the vocals, the levels kind of stayed the same
in terms of like that energy feel.
And that's really the only thing
I would have hoped to hear, just some way.
Or even, not even needing to scream,
but just even [Gb] belting a bit more,
getting it out there during [Bb] that part
would have been cool.
But nonetheless, like I said, awesome job on the vocals.
I think vocals actually, vocals and drums, [B] MVP.
[Ebm] And production also, whoever's doing that.
It's obviously deserves a lot of credit
because production's awesome.
[Db] Audio overall, it was a [Ebm] great track.
It was a weird track.
It started off a little bit slow,
and then it really got into it.
And then it had that chorus, man.
That chorus is so damn good.
I really love it with the dark twist.
Reminded me a bit of Lowe's without [Bb] the rars, basically.
But yeah, great job on the chorus.
Breakdown was fun.
Definitely more of like a groove down.
And that's, yeah, a lot of kind of chill moments
in between [Ebm] and all that, really [Bb] building that atmosphere.
Cool, cool song.
Very [Ebm] cool structure.
Very fun.
Video was creep.
We had speeders, we had Heisenberg,
we had, [Bb] yeah, [Ebm] dudes doing the, you know,
the Chokyu air stuff.
Yeah.
_ Overall.
_ So I'm kind of comparing this, I guess,
to my two favorite Sleep Token songs,
which is probably God's and The Offering.
_ The thing I love about those songs,
it has that contagious groove.
And even though it's still absent to it,
at least with The Offering,
it's such a contagious, catchy groove.
Whereas this song, I love that they combine, again,
both elements, the chill side and the heavy side.
And it still had a lot of groove.
I don't know if it was as contagious,
but nonetheless, hooky, great track, catchy.
It makes me want to play it right away.
Like, I literally, I'm gonna finish,
say bye to you guys and play this song right away.
Again, that's a good sign.
I honestly, like, I think this is a,
this is a four and a half, I think.
I'm gonna be honest.
Like, this is a solid track.
I feel like I just, I want more.
I feel like just because it was like a little,
like it's three and a half minutes, which is long enough,
but it's like, it took a while to build.
So I was like, ah, it's in here now.
Like, want a bit more of it.
But yeah, that's the only thing.
Other than that, it was cool, innovative,
very unique, different, very good.
I enjoyed it a lot, man.
This is [Bb] a four and a half.
This is a really solid track.
