[Bb] Hey folks, what's going on?
You're at NAMM and I'm not [F] and I'm very bummed about that.
Unfortunately I can't be at NAMM this year.
So I'm here in [Eb] Northampton, Massachusetts at the amazing Spirit House Studios.
This is the studio that Striper records every album, all my solo albums, the Sweet Lynch
albums and I'm here at the moment.
We're mixing the Striper album, brand new.

[E] [Db] Alright so [Ab] here in [Dbm] my hands we have the [B] US custom shop [Db] Washburn Michael Sweet V.
Signature obviously, very [B] similar to what you just saw in terms of [Gb] the import.
It's the same [Ab] design, that Striper design that I've always had on my V guitars.
Some people ask me, why haven't you changed the design?
It's just I love this design.
Robert actually designed this, my brother Robert.
He did it with tape years ago.
And then when we had the money, I took it to the guitar company we were with at the
time and they painted it.
People ask more about this particular guitar, this design, than anything, believe it or not.
[Gb] But here is the US version.
There's a few differences on this guitar.
We've obviously got the Floyd upgrade, FU tone and it's got upgrades on this particular Floyd.
So a brass, I've got the plate off right now.
We've got the big brass block on this which gives it a little more sustain and makes it
sound less like a guitar with the tremolo system.
Just beefs it up a little bit more.
It's also got the 24 frets, ebony neck with the yellow inlays all the way down the neck
which is a really nice touch man.
It's got, the difference in this one, this particular model has the Fishman Fluence modern
pickups in it.
And I've always been a Seymour Duncan guy and I still use Seymour Duncan pickups.
I love Seymour Duncan pickups.
But I was really impressed with these Fishmans.
And I use Fishman acoustic pickups, my acoustic guitars and Fishman products for that.
And I heard these, I tracked a couple guitar players and I heard these.
They had them in their guitars and I was really floored with the clarity and just how defined
these pickups sound.
So we threw them in this US model and I just love them.
There's fingerprints all over it because I just finished playing it.
I was playing these guitars last night, tracking guitar solos for the new Striper album.
So yes, I really use my own guitars.
And it's got the redesigned headstock which is more similar to my old headstocks and the redesigned body.
So this is a little shorter.
On my other US Washburn guitar, these were the same length.
But we had to do some redesigning.
And I can't say enough about this guitar, man.
The quality, the craftsmanship, everything about it is just insane.
The way you charge your little battery for your pickup system, which is active by the
way, you plug it in right here and you let it charge and you never have to open this
up and change out batteries, 9 volt batteries, which is a really cool design.
It's just awesome.
Killer guitars, guys.
There is one behind you as well of this US model.
Pick it up, play it, let me know what you think.
I think you're going to love it.
I do.
That's why I proudly put my name on these [Ab] guitars.
And thank you Washburn for believing in me.
And I'm so happy to be a part of the Washburn family.
