Rolling and action!
We recorded a live Michael [Abm] Sweet solo acoustic show in Fall River, [Db] Massachusetts [Ab] to show
people what I do on my own acoustically.
So going all the way back to 83, [Bbm] we were a band from Orange [Ebm] County, California.
[Dbm] It takes [Ab] people on a different journey.
We were a hard rock slash metal band and the song that really broke us was a ballad.
[Dm] The infamous Power Ballad, right?
[Am]
[F] [E]
[Am] I guess I'm going to talk about each song and [F] the era and time [Am] frame and history [Abm] behind
it [Gm] without talking too much.
[C] That's the tough part because I like to talk [F] a lot.
[Am] So I gotta try [Abm] to keep it short [Gm] and sweet.
[C]
And Always There For [F] You is the call-in on you of that album.
I've always liked that song.
I'm a [Dm] big Beatles fan.
[Bb] [F]
[Gm] [F] [C]
[F] [G] Funny little story about that song and it's the truth.
I'm not trying to get a laugh out of anybody.
[A]
[C] [G]
[B]
[C] So that song [G] is based partially on that and also [Db] on some more recent [C] situations that [Dm] I
have gone [Em] through.
[C]
[Am]
[Bm] [C]
[E]
We moved from [G] California to [D] Massachusetts in [E] 95.
And then from that time, [C] that's when I just [D] kind of took a [G] hiatus.
I put everything in a closet and I wound up going to work [Eb] for the [D] family business, [G] which
was a campground slash cranberry [C] bog business.
[D]

[F] [Bb] [F] [Bb] [E] [D]
[Dm] [E] [Dm]
[C] [Gm]
[F] [Bb] [F] [Bb] [Dm]
[Am] I wound up [E] being inspired to go back into the studio again.
[A] [B] [Dbm]
How many of you [B] remember [Dbm] the crew back in the 80s?
[Am] [E]
[B] There's no [Ab] set formula for how I write songs.
But there's some [A] funny formulas, very [G] funny, that people might not expect to hear.
[Eb]
I [F] [G]
[Eb]
think that it's important [F] as an artist and a musician [G] to try to encourage people to come
together more and respect one another [Ebm] and love one another and put [F] aside our differences.
We're always going to [Eb] have them.
