This is fantastic writing and the beauty of the song is how it goes back and forth between
minor and major.
This arrangement is in the key of D.
I think they're in F in the record.
_ And when it does that, minor to major, _ _ _ _ _ that's called modal interchange.
And you know, it's fantastic writing.
So I don't know if they knew what they were doing, but I have odds that, yeah, they did.
Man, this is really nice.
So there's a lot of versions out there and most of them are just like the record.
And that's cool.
I wanted to make something just a little different.
The minor, which is kind of a dark sound, I wanted to make it as dark as I can.
And the major as bright as I can, so there's more contrast. _ _
So we have some lines in there, some jazz chords.
We've got some improvised kind of lines.
And then we've harmonized George's [D] solo.
