Thank you.
Now let's break it down.
All right, we're going to start with this little F sharp major triad.
_ _ Sounds fancier than it is because [D] it's just a D chord.
D, E, F, F sharp.
[Gb] _ _ _ So that's a sixth fret G, seventh fret B, sixth fret high E. _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ Then _ _ _ [Bbm] we just flatten our finger across the sixth fret G, B, high E.
_ _ _ _ [Ebm] Same rhythm.
Then index finger on the sixth of the high E is how we can track that.
We have this little minor triad, which would be E flat minor, we could call it, or D sharp minor.
_ So that right there is eight, seven, six. _
_ _ _ [Bbm] Then you go back to that, everything covering the six again, but then we grab ring finger _ _
on the eighth fret D, and we can call that B flat minor.
So we [Gb] have F sharp major, _ _ [Bbm] _
_ _ _ then that one, which can be looked at a few different ways
because of the bass.
_ [Ebm] Then this little minor, E flat minor triad, _ _ _ _ [Bbm]
and then the B flat minor triad, which is
almost exactly like the second chord.
Here we go, play [Gb] with me.
_ _ _ [Bbm] _
_ _ _ [Ebm] _ _ _ _ [Bbm] _
_ _ _ [Gb] _ _ _ _ [Bbm] _
_ _ _ [Ebm] _ _ _ _ [Bbm] _
_ _ _ _ [Gb] All right, now we have that melodic line, the really cool line.
_ _ [Bbm] _ _ _ [Eb] _
[Bb] _ _ _ [Bb] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [Ebm] _ _ _ _ [Bbm] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [Gbm] _ _ All right, so we start on the 11 of the G, _ _ and we do 11 G, 11 B, and 9 high E, _ _ and then
back to the 11 of the B.
_ And [Eb] then now we _ do 9 to 11 on the B.
_ [Gb] _
_ _ _ _ [E] _ _ _ _
[E] Then it's now middle finger on the 10 of the G, [Bbm] but the rest of the line is the same.
_ _ _ _ Now you'd think it would go down again, and I saw tabs where it said that, but listening
to it, it's this note again, even though the rest of the chords are changing. _ _ _
_ [Ebm] And then, _ _ _ _ and I think of it like this, [Bb] one, two, three, four, five, six, [Abm] _
seven, da, da,
one, two, three, four, five, [Gb] six, da, da, da, [Bb] one, two, three, four, five, six, [Ab] then
_ which would be nine and seven.
[Em] So, [Gb] oh, sorry, _ 11 of the G. _ _
_ [Bbm] _ _ _ _ [Bbm] _ _ _
_ [Bb] _ _ _ _ _ [Gb] _ _
All right, let's put it all together, see what we can get here. _ _ _
_ _ _ [Bbm] _ _ _ _ [Ebm] _
_ _ _ [Bbm] _ _ _ _ [Gb] _
_ _ _ _ [Bbm] _ _ _ [Ebm] _
_ _ _ [Bbm] _ _ _ _ [Gb] _
_ _ All right, and so then, as far as the chorus or when it breaks down, _ _ _ _ _ _
[Ebm] _ _ _ _ _ [Bbm] _ _ _
it [Gb] just picks through
the same chord voicing. _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [Ebm] _ _ _ _ _ [Bbm] And then with this one, _ _ you go all the way across, _ _ _ _ _ just like that.
And then you [Bb] have the whole song.
So get to it, have fun, knock it [Gb] out.
All right, I hope you guys [E] enjoyed the lesson.
Thank you again for the great, great support.
Feel free to request [Ab] stuff in the comments below, and while you're down there, I appreciate
