I'm the music and arts minister at Point Harbor Community Church
And wanted to just share this song that I know much of the church still does even though it's a few years old
called moving forward and _ _ _
It's it is quite involved as a song and you know, it's typically done on acoustic type guitar
But I wanted to share this because I think a lot of people want to learn it
But maybe they're afraid that it's a little bit complex.
It is a tiny bit complex
_ But I think you can learn it.
And so let's just go through
Move through these chords here.
It starts out with a C or C formation
But what you do is instead of playing it here at C
Just slide it up a whole step and that's that intro chord that they play and it sounds like that that
[E] _ You just miss the top don't play the top note in it, even though I hold it down _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ It's really [A] a G with a 6 and a 9th in it
_ And then you go to this a for what a moment. _ _
[E] It's like an a 9 chord
_ _ Okay, then you go to [D#] the G 7th and [E] it's like it has it has a has an E sort of in it as well
_ It's G 7 over E _
[G] So you play those chords as you know [E] throughout? _ _

That G flat minor with a 9th at the bottom.

It's very soft that makes it very intimate and it has sort of a drawing effect

You know just strum it with your fingers.
