[A#] [F]
Howdy all this is Shane, welcome to Mustang Monday.
[B] Today I'm going to be doing a patch
for my favourite guitar player currently, who is [D] Chris Kane.
He's an amazing player.
If you don't know [G] him, check out [Am] the links in the description [Dm] and totally be blown away.
He's got [G] the best chops of just about all the favourite [D] players I've liked over the
years and his own particular flavour.
[G]
Amazing vocals, he's just a killer [F] and he's still
alive so go see him if you live in the Bay Area, he's an absolute monster.
[E] Chris Kane's weapon of choice seems to be the ES [Em]-335 on the most part.
He's got this
really [G] cool tobacco ES-335, it sounds amazing.
You can check the reference link as well in
the description [A] below.
His tone is [G] very simple, he plays a Music Man Amplifier which [C#] is half
solid state and half [B] tube and he just turns it up, [Gm] no pedals.
There's a couple of clips
where he's also playing super reverbs and twins and stuff when he's on tour but his
main amp is just a [G] single 12 Music Man amp and it sounds absolutely cool.
So if you want to download this patch you can check [A] out the links in the description
or you can type in Chris Kane Mustang Monday or in the [E] blues into the [F#m] Fender Fuse software.
[G]
Let's go.
Let's kick this off on the neck pickup of my ES-335.
That's Chris Kane's guitar of choice
on the most part.
He also does play Les Paul and very occasionally a Flying V but let's
give this a shot.
This is the [Cm] neck pickup.
[Gm]
[F] [G#]
[Cm] [Em]
[F] [Am] [G]
[D#]
[E] [Am] [Cm]
[C] [B] [Em]
[E] [N] Sounds really nice and musical.
If you turn
down it cleans up nicely.
[C]
[Gm] [A]
[F] [C] Over to both pickups now.
[F]
[A#] [A] [G]
[C] [A]
[Cm] [Em]
[E] [G] [Cm] [Em]
[E]
And bridge pickup.
[C]
[G] [D]
[C#] [C] [C]
[E] [C]
[F] [A]
[Cm]
[D] Now the idea of this
patch is not to have any other effects on, just that dry tone that Chris Kane has.
There's
no reverb or anything on here.
The sustain is just coming from just adding that little
bit of nice gain.
[D#]
[A] It's nice and simple and you can get really nice pick attack and a
[C]
[D#]
[F] [Gm]
[F] nice clean sound.
So if you want to download this patch you can check out [Bm] the links in the description
or you can type in Chris Kane Mustang Monday or in the blues into [B] the Fender Fuse software
to download this patch.
Please give the video a thumbs up to [G#] support Mustang [B] Monday.
I absolutely
appreciate that.
[D] And yeah let me know what you think when you get a chance to [C#m] download
it and test it.
It's one of those [G] plug and play ones that's not too dirty.
So if you
like that [A] typical blues tone [E] I think you're definitely going to love it.
It's kind of
punchy, it's got a bit of growl on it as well.
[E] Especially on the lows [G] it's got a bit
of [Em] mmmph in it.
So yeah definitely let me know [Dm] what you think of it when you get a chance
to test it.
Thanks for watching.
[D] Catch you soon.
See [A] ya.
