Mustang Sally, guess you better slow your Mustang down.
Mustang [F] Sally, baby, guess you better slow your Mustang [C] down.
You've [G] been running all over town,
[C] [E] guess you [N] gotta put your flat feet on the ground.
Hey friends, it's Frank Lake, hope you're doing well.
Mustang Sally today, let's have a quick look at the chords.
Very simple, blues pattern, I played in C7.
So basically your C chord, and you add your pinky on the [Em] third string of the third [C] fret.
For the C, [E] you play the F, [F] which you can play as an open chord if you're just getting started.
First two strings on the first fret, third of the second, and third of the third.
Or fourth of the third rather.
And then [G] the G, which you can play as an open chord, or you can also play as a barre chord.
Okay, you'll see I prefer to [Ab] play it in the barre chord, I find you get a better rhythm.
[C] For strumming, [A] very simple, you put pressure and you release the [C] strings.
So watch what happens.
[E] Because when I [Eb] apply no pressure, I just get a kind of a [C] nice dry sound,
and then when I press down on the strings I get the actual chord sound.
So,
[F]
we have it now, and then we'll go back [C] to the C7.
Now we play the [G] D, and then progression, [Gb] F sharp.
[F]
[C]
And [Cm] there you have it, Mustang Sally.
