[E] [D] Hi, I'm Nancy with Balcony TV Austin coming to you live from South [B] by Southwest.
I'm here with the band Natural Child, who just killed it on [N] stage here at Skinny's Ballroom.
Guys, welcome to Austin.
Thank you.
Thanks, yeah.
So these guys are here from Nashville.
I'd like to know, what's it like being a rock band in a country western city?
It's great.
[F] We listen to tons of country.
Willie Nelson.
Willie Nelson, yeah.
We love country.
But you know, there's rockers there too.
You got Kid [E] Rock there.
And he went country, so you know.
All you need is Kid Rock and you're set.
[Ab] So I heard you guys [N] just recorded an album that's going to be coming out soon.
Can you tell us a little bit about that, where people can find it and when they can expect
to see it out?
Sure.
It comes out on 420.
For the Love of the Game.
It's called For the Love of the Game.
[A] 420.
And it's the greatest rock and roll [N] record of 2012.
Sounds promising.
So how did you guys all meet?
I know there's a third member as well that's not here, but how did you guys all meet and
form the band?
Me and the other guy that's not here, Zach.
We were eating a bunch of weed brownies one night and we decided that Seth was our guy.
And that's how it happened.
I don't know how we met, but that's how the band formed.
Yeah.
So is this your first time at South by Southwest?
No, third.
Third, great.
So, [A] curious, if you guys could open for any band, your choice, [Bb] who would it be?
Rolling Stones.
Rolling Stones, yeah.
[N] Good choice.
So would you say they've been a big influence on you?
Yes.
Probably the biggest.
What other bands would you say?
[A] Neil, [B] Bob, Willie, [C] Waylon.
[N] I know the people out there would probably love to hear where they can get some more
information about the band online.
Can you give us a little bit more information about that?
Naturalchild.org.
Yeah, and there's like a blog.
We got a blog and a Facebook and stuff, you know, just use the internet.
Naturalchild.
Yeah.
So where do you see yourself in a year?
Hopefully [Bb] alive.
That's a good thing to think.
I hope [E] so too.
Otherwise this video will really be famous.
[C] [Gm] So I just wanted to find out also, [N] you guys, you've been to Austin before.
I know Nashville and Austin have been compared to each other quite a bit.
What do you see as the [D] similarities between Austin and Nashville music scene and the differences?
[Bb]
I [E] don't know.
That's a tough question.
We can tell you about the differences in temperature and [B] interstates.
Music scene [F] differences?
I don't know.
There's like so many venues here.
There's way more live music venues in Austin.
Way more venues and way more punk here.
Yeah.
Yeah.
[N] So less country, more punk.
Less country, less, yeah, more punk.
Just more punk.
Yeah.
Same amount of cowboy boots.
Same amount of cow, yeah.
Yeah.
Well, welcome to Austin.
We appreciate getting to talk to you.
We appreciate you guys being here.
Thanks.
