Hey, real quick, just to [G] clarify.
I don't think this is how he plays it.
I think he, well, he's moved the capo around over the years.
But I think on the one from the Rumours album, he's at the fourth fret.
And he tunes the [C#m] low two strings, they would be up, [F#] each would be up a full [C#] step.
So I think I'm down at [F#] C and G, and those would probably be D and A, the way he's doing it.
[D#] So he would be fingering like this, not on these frets, but he would be fingering like that.
Of course it's not [F#] going to sound like that because I'm [Gm] not tuning the same.
But you can do the lazy man's way and cheat and have the capo be your index finger.
So it's a heck of a lot easier to do these shapes.
So the shapes are, the first one is like an A minor 7.
You can do it with those three fingers, and I do it with my pinky on the E string at the third fret.
B string at the second, D string at the, or B string at the first, sorry, D string at the second.
And then you're going [F#] on and off with that.
Right?
[C#] And then the next shape is B and D strings at the third fret.
Sounds like that.
[F#] And then [F] back to that one.
[F#] It's that same shape, move two frets up, two frets down.
And [C#] back to that first A minor 7 shaped shape.
It's not an A minor 7.
Then the other shape is the [E] D, G, B and E strings at the fifth fret.
And then the high B and E three frets up from there.
Sort of the [F#] last one before you get to the actual body of the guitar.
So it's that.
[C#]
And then the next one is index finger, this stays.
Ring finger is two frets up on the E string.
Middle finger is one fret up on the B.
So it's between those.
[F#]
You're almost doing [C#] the whole thing.
[G#] Your thumb is just doing those two strings over and over.
[F#] So it's these two.
And then [A#] this little thing, the turnaround is kind of cool.
It looks like sort of an E minor, A and D in the second fret, and the B in the first.
[A#m]
That's just one string.
E string at the fourth [F#] fret.
[C#] Right?
[D#m] So it's this.
Those [D#] two and that [A#m] one.
Then that one.
[D#] All by itself.
Then back to it.
And then the last one before [C#] it goes back into it is just E string at the high.
High E string at the [D#m] third.
[F#] [D#] [A#m]
[F#] Back to the beginning again.
[F] But there's only those few chord shapes.
It's not really all that tough to get down.
I don't actually pick it.
I'm sure I'm not picking it exactly the way he's picking it.
But if you want to
