[F] Kim and Jeffrey, great to see you guys.
Thanks for sharing these new songs.
It's always great [N] to hear new Jesus Culture music.
And this song is called Never Stop.
And it's just such a song of how God loves us.
And we were just talking about the scripture of like this idea of God singing over us and affirming His love for us.
I feel so good when I hear this song.
It just affirms a lot of things in me.
But talk about this and just the ideas when you wrote it.
Yeah, in writing it we wanted to convey a message that God's love for us, He is always pursuing us.
And His love, He's always singing over us, He's dancing over us.
The Bible talks really clearly about that.
And also this kind of idea of we can't run away from His love.
We can't hide from His love.
He freely gives it, it's unconditional.
Even in our shortcomings, that His love is always there.
And also in the verses, we really wanted to paint a picture of His love as it's being spoken over us and sung over us.
That sometimes it is the whisper, it's that still small voice, that I love you.
And sometimes it's strong and it's strength and it's the voice that comes and is holding you through whatever it is and saying, I love you, I'm here with you in this.
And we kind of wanted to have both in this song because it is both of those things.
This song actually, I personally am, is probably one of my personal favorites because I feel like it's very expressive of even my own relationship with God.
And I love that, I love the reminder and being able to sing that.
But also the reminder to us of it's the strength, it's the big voice, but it's also the whisper, the still small voice.
And that's an idea I think as people we wrestle with because we're not constant.
Like our feelings, our emotions, they kind of come and go and they go up and down.
And we have a hard time understanding that God's not like that.
Like you said, it's constant toward us all the time.
When every day, if we rape, how does God feel about me today, we would always put it somewhere on the scale that was different.
But like the reality is, yeah, it's that constant affirming.
Like my thoughts toward you haven't changed because of what you've done or just because this happened or whatever.
So it's such an encouraging, powerful song.
Jeffrey, walk us through chord-wise what you're playing on this.
I sure will.
It's in the key of C.
And the verse is F, G, C basically.
[C] It does [G] [C]
that a few times.
4, 5, 1 over 3.
And then the end of the verse, it just goes 4, 5 or F, C.
[G]
[C] The chorus, [Am] [G]
[C] so that's 4, 6, 5, 1 over 3.
Repeat that a bunch of times.
And then the bridge is real similar.
[Am] [G]
[C] [Am] [G] [F] Same as the chorus.
And I think that strum pattern for this song is so important too because it's kind of that eighth note, just sort of driving.
It's got a lot of momentum.
It's a slower song, but it has a lot of rhythm to it.
Well guys, thanks so much for sharing the song with us.
Can't wait for people to hear it.
