He's from the UK, but credits a trip to America about six years ago, shaping his blues.
Okay.
The blues.
He has returned to the United States from shows in Luxembourg, Belgium, and Holland.
It's a lot of travel.
All over the place.
Ollie Brown.
Good morning, Ollie. Hi, Ollie.
Nice to see you.
Ollie's waiting in the walk.
This is Wayne Proctor.
Hi, Wayne.
He usually plays the drums, but today he's playing the legs.
Going for the legs.
And this is Ron Say.
He's still playing the bass.
Great. Hello, there.
Guys, nice to see you.
Thank you for coming.
Yeah, Ollie, how did you get started in music?
You have kind of a unique style.
I just got bored at school, really.
It's not really an interesting story.
I didn't really find anything I enjoyed, so I just picked up the guitar.
There was a guitar teacher that just came in, so I was like, well, I'll give it a go.
And I think the first song I learned was the James Bond theme tune, and I enjoyed it since then, really.
Yeah.
What happened in America that, I mean, you sort of liked blues, but you didn't own it
as much as something that happened early 2000s, right? Yeah.
I went out and toured with a band called Blind Dog Smoking.
And we actually went to Laramie to see them again in a few days to play in their festival.
But that was, we were touring around Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado.
Long journeys.
Lots of long journeys.
And you talked a lot, right?
And there was one guy in particular that really helped you see blues in a different light.
Yeah, Buddy Guy was definitely the guy that kind of opened up for me and realized there's
a big show to this music, you know?
And that's what we take pride on as well.
We like to make a show.
Yeah, like we're on there.
You have quite a few hits on YouTube for the R&B song, No Diggity.
You do it in a blues way.
Yeah, we do.
That's a song I really like, actually.
And I've always imagined actually doing it as a band.
So I just like that song a lot.
And it's fun to do with all the harmonies as well.
What's the future hold for you?
Just more gigs, more touring.
And, you know, it's a lot of fun.
We're lucky to be doing it.
So it's great to be coming around here again.
What are you going to do right now for us?
Actually, you know what?
Because you said that, we're going to do No Diggity.
You are not.
He didn't know that.
He's a little surprised.
Right.
It's an audible, right?
Yeah, yeah.
There's nothing rude in it.
Let's hear it.
Gentlemen, thank you for being here.
Take it away.
Thank you.
