Come on, why don't we put our hands together tonight?

[Em] [E] [D]
[Bm] Hey, [A]
[Em] [D]
[Bm] [A] my name is Jonathan [E] Swindle, and I'm the worship [D] director here at ORU.
[Bm] The mission [A] of ORU Worship Center [Em] is to raise up worshipers to [D] hear God's voice and [Bm] to go
where His light is seen [A] dim and express [E] what He is saying [Em] through their movement.
[D]
[Bm] ORU Worship Center has an extensive [A] legacy of people [Em] who have come through here, [D] including
people like [Bm] Don Mullen, Darrell Evans, [A] Kerry Jobe, Jared [Em] Anderson, and many others.
[D] As a student here in [Bm] the ORU Worship Center, [A] you can be involved in [E] many ways.
[G#]
ORU Live is the primary [E] traveling group representing the [C#] ORU Worship Center.
We [G#m] travel from high schools and churches and sometimes conferences, [E] spreading through music
what God is [C#m] doing here on campus.
[G#]
Our campus worship teams are fully student-led, [G#m] and they lead worship in our bi-weekly chapel
[B] services where thousands of students, staff, [C#] faculty, and administration come together
in Christ [D] Chapel for worship.
Our primary job on this campus [Bm] is to establish a culture of worship, corporately and within every [D] individual.
One of the ways that we do that is by having nights of worship [A] that are [A] totally dedicated
to just prayer and [G] worship.
Souls of Fire is our gospel choir [Bm] that's been in existence for over 41 years, and their
mission is to reach the inner city lost all throughout this nation [A] through gospel music.
Music to the Nations is our summer [G] missions program, and we send teams all over the world
to minister [Bm] through the gift of music, because we believe that music is a universal [G] language.
[G] As part of the Music to the Nations program, our student [A]-led teams will travel to local
churches throughout the semester to raise funds for their [Em] trips.
Every Thursday night, [G] our entire department gathers together [Em] for a [D] rehearsal, [G] followed
by a time of prayer and community.
[Em] This is a great [D] time for our [G] students to get connected and to [Am] lift each other up in prayer.
[D] Part of our vision is hearing the [C] voice of God and putting it [Em] into our music, which means
that [G] original music is huge for us.
[D] We want to encourage every person in our [C] department to be pursuing [Em] writing and crafting their
gift [G] on a daily basis.
[D] Writing original music has really helped us [C] create our own sound, and [Em] with our own sound,
we put these [G] songs on an album, which is a huge [D] part of everything this department does.
[C]
Here at the ORU Worship Center, we take the job of training students very seriously to
be skillful artists and spiritually mature, and how to pair those things together.
A lot of places will train you to hear God's voice, and a lot of places [C] will send you,
but there's not a lot of places that will train you [Em] and then send you.
That's what [G] the ORU Worship Center is all about.
[C] We want to train you to hear God's voice, teach you to incorporate it into [Em] your music,
and then give you opportunities to use that on a local, [C] daily basis.
[E]
We're so excited about what God's doing [F#m] here at ORU, and I hope that you'll come be a part.
[D] Follow us on Twitter or Facebook, and [A] check out our website.
We'll see you soon.
