[C] _ [C] In Genesis when the Lord made the Garden of Eden,
_ [G] _ _ we find a [E] silent, salient, eternal [D] truth there.
_ That there was a river that flowed from [G] Eden,
it watered the garden, and [G] at the end of the garden broke into [Em] four heads.
_ Gihon, Pishon, Idikel, [C] and Euphrates. _ _ _ _
But if you [D] find that river, [G] _ you will find that actually
Eden was the presence of God.
Eden was not the garden.
The garden was eastward of Eden.
Eden itself was the [C] presence of God.
And that river flowed from Eden.
[G] Ezekiel encountered that river again in Ezekiel chapter 47. _
[D] And Ezekiel said this time it was
coming from beneath the porch of the altar in the temple.
So in Revelations 21 [G] and 22, you find that
that [C] river again flows from the very throne of [G] God.
_ _ _ And then it flows and [D] runs the pathway through all
heaven [D] into all eternity.
_ [G] Then Ezekiel tells us about an experience.
An experience with the same
river _ that [C] an angel took him by the hand and measured a [G] thousand cubits and brought him to
that [D] extent in the river.
And the river was ankle deep.
_ The angel measured another [Gm] thousand cubits
and brought him to that length.
And the river was knee deep.
[C] And I began to ask the Lord,
how [A] does the angel measure?
[Am] _ _ What is the measurement of the [D] angel?
_ [G] The Word of God is living and active,
sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing through the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,
bones and marrows.
It is a judge of the intents of the heart.
_ It tells you that if that angel was
kept with a flaming sword that runs [D] in double direction, the working of that sword is to pierce
through our soul _ and read us of flesh.
And as he reads us [C] of flesh, we can then travel the distance
with him.
And when [Am] we travel the distance with him, he can [D] only bring us into the river to the extent
to which we have died to ourselves.
See the final destination for Ezekiel.
That at a point [Em] he
measured a thousand [G] cubits and the water swallowed up _ Ezekiel.
_ That's the experience I'm believing [D] God for.

Where it is all of him and none of us.
At that [Em] point, [Am] your feet is not holding ground [G] anymore
in the river.
[C] Now notice that [D] if the river has not overflown you, your feet is still holding ground.
So you can fight the [G] currents of the river.
You might fall off once and again [C] by the tides that
[Am] come from the river, but you will find that you are not [G] swimming freely until you [C] arrive at the place
where the waters [D] themselves overflow you.
And once the waters overflow you, you cannot keep your feet
under.
You have to flow with the tides of [C] that river.
And as many as are led by [Am] the Spirit of God,
these [G] are the sons of God.
[D] The generation that the [G] earth is waiting for is the [C] generation of
men and [D] women whose flesh [G] have been cut off by the working of the flaming sword [C] of God.
And now God
is not [Am] afraid or ashamed to bring them to [G] extent that only the Spirit can take.
It's how that the
river must take charge. _
If the [B] river and the currents of it become [Am] stronger than us, [G] then it
can carry us.
[Am] But if there are things that [D] are still logical [G] and human in our minds that [Eb] hold us
back, then that river cannot [Ab] carry us.
It's [Ab] amazing to find out in Revelation chapter 22 [Db] that you see
the one who sits upon the throne, the Father.
You see the Lamb, but you don't find the Spirit anymore.
You find that out of [Eb] that throne flows a river.
But that's the Holy Spirit there because the Bible
says, and Jesus stood on the [Ab] last and the great day of [Db] the feast in John chapter 7, verse 37,
[Bbm] and cried out with a loud voice, give [Eb] anyone thirst, let him come to me and drink.
For [Ab] out of his
belly, like the scripture [Eb] says, shall flow [Ab] rivers of living waters.
Then the Bible says, and this
speak he [Db] concerning the Holy Spirit, whom them that believe [Ab] shall utter what we see. _
Every time we reach
out [Eb] to that river, what we are asking is Spirit take over.
[Ab] Spirit have your way in the earth.
First
have your way [Db] in our piece of earth, then have your [Bbm] way in our nation.
Have your [Ab] way in our economy.
Have your way [Eb] within our systems.
Have your [Ab] way in the system with which we [Eb] raise our children.
Have your [Ab] way so that the Spirit of God rules again in the earth, [Db] so that the power of God is
seen again to the ends of the earth, [Ab] so that there'll be no day in the earth that the Spirit does not [Eb] rule.
For every knee shall bow and every tongue confess [Ab] that Jesus is Lord.
To the glory of God the [Db] Father.
To the [Bbm] glory of God the Father.
