Well, let's get right into it, folks.
Pat Green generated a ton of [B] buzz with his backstage conversation here on [A] the show.
You [E] can really tell he's super excited about the next phase of his career.
So come on, Pat.
What you got for us?
I've been hanging out with John Randall throughout the years, [A] you know, [E] on tours and different
places where he'd come out and [A] just hang out.
One night we [G] were in Pittsburgh [E] and [A] he came on the [E] bus and played this song called Austin,
amongst other songs.
And, man, I fell in love with it then.
I never found a place for it yet.
And then this year is the 10-year anniversary of an [B] album that we put out called Songs We
Wish [A] We'd Written.
And it just naturally [E] fit.
And seeing as how I've left the Nashville corporate music world and gone into the independent
music world [A] again, which I'm very much more [E] comfortable, it seemed [A] like Austin, the song,
was an [E] easy fit for this record.
I [A] certainly do wish I would have written it, [E] but I'm happy that John is getting the credit.
I did the Songs We Wish We'd Written with most of the musicians in our band.
Justin, our drummer, has a lot to do with that, especially in the studio.
I [B] think he's got a great ear.
So has Clay Corn, [A] our piano player.
No, I [E] think we're a good group, good enough to pull that off.
And then I've been begging Frank Liddell and Jay Joyce to work on this next project.
And, you know, one more home-cooked meal, maybe we'll get them done.
